3 Key Practices For A Healthier Look

3 Key Practices For A Healthier Look

We are often very used to seeing health and beauty being lumped together, and there is a good reason for that. Although having one does not necessarily mean that you have the other, if you are healthier there is a good chance that you will also be better looking, and vice versa. However, this is only going to be true as long as you are using natural and usual means of achieving both of those goals. In this article, we are going to discuss this in more detail. Let’s take a look at three of the key areas you might want to focus on for a healthier look, starting from today.

Skincare

This is one area where it is definitely true that health and beauty are bedfellows. The more that you look after your skin, the better you will look – and the healthier you will actually be. Skincare is something of a difficult art to master, and part of the problem is that there is often so much conflicting information. However, as long as you follow some basic rules of thumb, you should find that the ongoing results are everything you hope for. The most important thing to bear in mind is not to over wash. If you use soap too often, it dries out the skin and you actually cause more damage than if you wash less often. When you do wash, use soap and other types like gels intermittently. This reduces the amount of damage done by either, and ensures that your skin stays moist. You should also remember to use moisturiser after every wash, as this makes a huge difference.

Smile

It is something that we all know to be important, and yet looking after one’s teeth is often more difficult than one would hope. If you are keen to effectively keep your mouth looking great, then you might want to think about going on regular visits to both your dentist and your orthodontist, as they each have their uses in keeping your smile healthy and clean. Whether you need braces, a filling or just a regular clean-up, getting it done professionally is going to make a huge difference to the quality of your smile – as is your practice of brushing twice a day, of course.

Hair

People are often under the illusion that if you do not have much hair there is not much to do with it to keep care of it. While having less hair means that you won’t have to do as much, it is still as important to keep on top of your hair care – even if you shave your head! Really, hair care also includes caring for the scalp, and this is a surprisingly important thing to watch over. As with skincare, a major rule is not to over wash. You shouldn’t be using shampoo more often than three to four times a week, as any more than this actually damages your scalp  -and can even lead to increased dandruff, believe it or not. Make sure you wash it this often however, and also that you dry it properly, as leaving it wet can damage both the roots and the tips. Looking after your hair ensures that you remain as beautiful as possible.

“Lesson 2”
A few months ago a friend asked what my opinion of a real relationship should be!

Well here ya go lesson #2 ? It’s when naked means unveiling your walls ,your fears, and emotions.

tipsfromtia.com Kissing

It’s when a kiss can make you weak and tremble. It’s when there are no secrets only raw truths. It’s feeling safe and comfortable and never questioning. It’s having a person so close to you that undressing their mind and thoughts is the sexiest thing you can do. It’s loving without fear and jumping without regret ! It’s leaving for work and rushing home just bc you crave that person. Finding that a night in can be 10x the amount of fun as any bar. It’s little notes randomly placed to be found later just saying i love you or your beautiful . Just cooking dinner while they tell you about their day over a drink . It’s never wondering how you’ll feel tomorrow bc you know you just know that they desire you with the same intense passion that intoxicates you every second. It’s sleeping every night with nothing but their name on your lips.

Cabin Fever! Decorating Your Wooden Home

Cabin Fever! Decorating Your Wooden Home

So, you’ve taken the plunge and have bought a new wooden home or an antique cabin that perhaps needs some light updating. The craze for cabins has been all over the place recently, and more and more people are chipping in to purchase one of their very own—either as a permanent residence or as a vacation property. There’s just something about the warmth and character of a wooden home that makes it feel both timeless and inviting. Whether you’ve chosen a handcrafted design from Frontier Log Homes or stumbled upon a historic cabin in need of restoration, the charm of these homes is undeniable. They tend to be in remote locations, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, surrounded by woodland or mountains. Not a bad view to wake up to every morning, then!

They are also much sturdier than the majority of people would think, with the latest designs being capable of withstanding even very strong winds. Finally, they are an interior lover’s dream – after all, is there anything more Pinterest-worthy than an adorable, cozy cabin? If you’ve just bagged your own cabin and want to make the best of it (who wouldn’t, really?) here are a few tips on nailing that rustic, chalet-style decor.

Soft furnishings

The number one rule with log cabin decor is to make anything soft and fluffy your best friend. One of the most desirable things about cabins is that they look warm and welcoming – think back to the recent trend of Danish hygge. Your cabin needs to be cozy, so invest in plenty of rugs, blankets, and cushions, so the place doesn’t feel too bare. A sheepskin rug is always a winner in a log home, and don’t be afraid of buying throws and cushions in a mismatch of styles and colors. The haphazard look of clashing prints will make it look as though you have lived there forever, collecting hand-me-down blankets as you go.

Caring for the wood

One thing is for sure about having a log cabin: you need to be prepared to take good care of it. Of course, all homes need a certain level of care, even one made from traditional bricks and mortar. But your log cabin will need specialist care, so it is worth educating yourself about the best exterior wood stain for log homes, among other things. Your wooden walls will be at risk of things like dampness or termites, so always make sure your humidity levels in the home are at a reasonable level. If you do need to clean the wooden walls in your home, always patch test with a product first, as some cleaning products could potentially damage your wood.

Bring the outdoors indoors

Cabin style is all about being close to nature. Hang up beautiful nature paintings, or even your own personal photography of the place you are lucky enough to call home. Don’t bother spending money on fancy ornaments and statues – simply find an unusual-looking branch outside, bring it inside, and pop it in a quirky vase. It’s super cheap, but sets you on your way to creating that rustic look! Having an abundance of house plants can also help create a cabin wonderland, especially if you use seasonal flowers and leaves.

Getting Out Of Trouble, On The Double!

Getting Out Of Trouble, On The Double!

At some point in time, everyone finds themselves in a little bit of trouble. Of course, the level and severity of the trouble you’re in will depend on what you do. Some people might get in trouble for not doing their work. But, that’s not the sort of trouble we’re trouble we’re talking about in this specific article. Instead, this post is about criminal trouble. If the police are ever knocking at your door or putting cuffs on your arms; this post will be there to help you. You just have to remember a couple of things to make sure that you’re covered.

What you do if you should happen get arrested is very important. A lot of people are rude to the police. Or, will try to escape them. Both of these attitudes are destructive and pointless. Once they’ve caught you; there’s not much you can do. So, it’s best to try and get on the good side of the police. In a lot of cases; when people decide to be difficult with police, they will find that they commit more crimes than they had originally. And, this will just get you into more trouble. It’s best to avoid talking too much at this stage. Just give them the details they need and don’t talk about the crime.

Your first priority, once you get to the station, should be talking to your lawyer. This will ensure that you don’t say anything that could harm you. And, to make you aware of the sort of trouble you’re in. It’s hard to make sure that you handle issues like this with poise and grace. A lawyer will be able to do this for you; limiting the chances that you’ll do the wrong thing. If you don’t have a lawyer, you should be at least aware of a good one. Look at websites like http://rokolaw.com/ to get an idea of what’s available. You should always look for lawyers that specialize in the trouble that you’re in. Criminal defense lawyers won’t be good at contract law; but, a family lawyer won’t be very good with criminal law. So, you need to make the right choice.

Getting out of the crime you’ve committed will be unlikely. There’s almost always some sort of backlash from something like this. And, it’s hard to get rid of the backlash completely. So, you will need to be prepared to do some time or other punishment for what you have done. Choosing a good lawyer will limit this time as much as possible. And, will help you to retain your reputation after the fact. So, it’s essential that you do plenty of research. In some cases; you may be able to get out of the issue. But, this will be greatly dependent on the professional helping you.

Hopefully, this will give you a good idea of what needs to be done if you should ever happen to find yourself in a legal battle. It can be hard to focus on something like this in a sensible way. And, a lot of people are very emotional during these times. It’s important to remain calm, though. Never get too excited.

It’s A Building Site!

It’s A Building Site!

You know how you’ve always wanted that dream kitchen, gorgeous lounge or en-suite guest bedroom? There’s never been a better time to carry out some home improvements because with spring in the air the weather’s warmer and less prone to storms. You’ll also have the pick of the builders because lots of people choose to hold off on having building work done in the months leading up to the summer holidays. Why? Well if you’re away you can’t accurately check on their progress, can you?

Creating An Open Plan Space

Open plan living is trendy, modern and highly desirable but it’s important to note that not all houses are designed for it , and if you do decide to knock down walls, create archways and take off doors then the aesthetic of your entire home will change. It’s also worth thinking about heating and lighting as wooden doors tend to act as natural draft excluders so if you remove these you could find your gas bills increase almost overnight. When it comes to planning the design of open spaces you need to consider what that room used for and how it interacts with other rooms nearby.

For instance, what can you see from your living room right now? If there’s a wall up it’ll probably be nothing but once that’s removed does the lounge back onto the kitchen? Dining room? Or into the hall? Which rooms get the most light or overlook the garden and do you have enough space to move around without bumping into furniture? Don’t forget to think about how far your dining room or proposed eating space is from your kitchen too!

Converting Your Loft

Before you begin covering up floorboards, sketching out room designs and calling builders for quotes when it comes to loft conversions you need to think smart. You may believe that it isn’t much of a big deal, but a transformation is going to change the structure of the house, which means you need to know if the building can take the extra weight. Don’t forget if you plan on turning the loft into another bedroom you need to be able to stand up in it! If you’ve got a sloping roof, there’s obviously going to be much less room than downstairs so check the head height first. You may also not have thought about it yet but how are you planning on getting up there?

Existing ladders are fine for the occasional trip to pop something in storage but if you’re converting, fire regulations state you’ll need actual stairs as well as possibly needing to remove the old boiler or water tank to elsewhere in the house. If you have an en-suite, you’ll need to install plumbing as well as make sure there’s extra blown fiberglass insulation as lofts can get quite chilly. Conversions will need building approval, but not necessarily planning permission as it all depends on what you intend to do with the space. If in doubt speak to a local builder who should be able to advise you on your design as well as any costs, materials and the time the project’s going to take.
