Tips on Triggers: Do You Get Sleepy’s in the Corner of the Eye?

I think everyone does once in awhile, if the tear ducts are working properly; the corner of the eye, will get those little while balls called “sleepy’s”. The tear ducts job is to lubricate the eyes, and clear out debris, in the eyes and on the surface. But, What trigger’s sleepy’s?

If by chance, you get sleepy’s very frequent, it could mean that you have, a little too much, yeast in your body. The tear ducts trigger a cleanse to get rid of the over excretion of yeast, which your pores and glands are trying to remove.

Taking a probiotic is a good way to re-balance the body’s system. Another easy way to correct the body’s balance, is a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, taken orally, on a daily basis.

Once the body balances out, you will notice a reduction in sleepy’s.

Help Heal, a Healing Wound. Tips in Action:

Tips in Action: Help Heal, a Healing Wound.

A scab forms over a cut, to protect the growth of new skin. But, what happens when the scab keeps snagging, pulls off when you remove the bandage or just coming off, before the healing is over? The scab can rip off fresh skin, and cause a new healing process to start. Painful and annoying!

Here’s a tip to help heal that healing wound, and help prevent this from happening repeatedly; apply petroleum jelly to the scab after, applying the antibiotic ointment. The petroleum jelly will help moisturize the scab to keep it on the softer side and protect it from snagging. Add some petroleum jelly to the bandage, as well.

This process has been effective in reducing scarring as well.

What Greasy Hair Could Really Be Telling You.

By Tia Cristy

Problem:
Hi Tia, love your site! My problem is my hair is looking greasy, after I wash it. I tried changing shampoo, but by the end of the day, it’s still looking like I haven’t washed it for days. What can I do? B.

Tip from Tia:
First off, thank you so much for reading! Yes, when hair gets limp and heavy, switching shampoo’s is the first step, because of build up, using a clarifying shampoo can break that down, to bring back clean strands.

Now, if that hasn’t worked for you and your hair is looking greasy by midday, your problem could be your scalp is actually excessively dry. And when the skin gets over dry, the natural defense is to lube it up and your body releases extra oils. The other part of that could be, your pores in the scalp are clogged in certain areas and it’s over oiling in other spots to compensate. Blocked pores are not a good thing they can lead to other problems, so unclogging is the first step. This is important for both women and men to know.

Here’s what you need to do. Get tea tree oil and add some to the palm of your hand and add in your shampoo, or get shampoo that has tea tree oil in it. Lather it up at the scalp and bring down to the ends. Let it sit on the scalp for a few minutes, you may feel a light tingle sensation. Rinse. This will unclog any pores. Tea tree oil has antibiotic and anti-fungal properties. (side note: the smell of tea tree can seem extreme at first, but the smell does diminish, and the aroma left behind can be appealing and easy enough to get use too. Plus, the results are usually worth the smell, if you don’t like it.)

Next you can choose to use conditioner on strands first then running it up towards the scalp, or do a scalp conditioning to your scalp with olive oil. putting olive oil on the scalp will moisturize the scalp without clogging the pores back up. Leave the oil on the hair for about five minutes and rinse out, then you can apply your regular conditioner to your ends working up the the root.

Doing this treatment once a month can help keep your hair in good balance.

Put Out the Burn on Hair Dye.

Put out the burn on hair dye.

Does your scalp burn when you dye it?
For sensitive scalps that burn, when dying hair, add a packet of sweetener to the bottle. This process will subside the burning sensation of the dye on the scalp.

Touch Up Roots in Seconds. Tips in Action:

By Tia Cristy

Tips in Action: Touch Up Roots in Seconds.

Whether it’s grey or natural color has started to peek through the scalp, you can touch your roots up in seconds, without dye. Dying hair should only be done about every 30 days. So, if those little buggers come through too soon, or you just haven’t had time to touch up with dye, here’s a tip for you.

Grab the eyeshadow that matches closely to your hair color; sometimes a shade darker works best. Apply the eyeshadow to your finger and thumb heavily. Take the sections at the scalp you are looking to touch up and glide in the eyeshadow. Reapply to get the correct tone, if needed.

This will give a quick cover to your locks, and stay until it is washed out.
