Quickie: Clean Your Toothbrush.

It is very important to have a clean mouth, and more important to have the thing cleaning your mouth, be clean.

Clean your toothbrush once a week with hydrogen peroxide. Whether you have a manual toothbrush or electric, wipe down the handle with a peroxide soaked cloth or cotton ball. Soaking the bristles in a small cup of peroxide, will kill all the germs bacteria and fungus, that can grow on it.

Tips on Triggers: Dry Cough Relief.

After being sick a dry cough can linger. It’s not only annoying, but it can be exhausting, keeping you up at night. Cough drops maybe giving comfort, but once they’re dissolved, the cough returns.

A trigger point to help relieve that dry cough, is at the base of the front of your neck. Do you feel that hollow space where the collar bone comes together? In that divot, apply a slight pressure (not too hard) and hold for a minute or two.

This will help give relief, to that dry cough.

Touch Up Roots in Seconds. Tips in Action:

By Tia Cristy

Tips in Action: Touch Up Roots in Seconds.

Whether it’s grey or natural color has started to peek through the scalp, you can touch your roots up in seconds, without dye. Dying hair should only be done about every 30 days. So, if those little buggers come through too soon, or you just haven’t had time to touch up with dye, here’s a tip for you.

Grab the eyeshadow that matches closely to your hair color; sometimes a shade darker works best. Apply the eyeshadow to your finger and thumb heavily. Take the sections at the scalp you are looking to touch up and glide in the eyeshadow. Reapply to get the correct tone, if needed.

This will give a quick cover to your locks, and stay until it is washed out.

Slow Moving Drain. How to help the Organic way.

By Tia Cristy

(recap) Slow Moving Drain. How to help the Organic way.

Problem:

The drains
in my house are moving a bit slower than usual. It’s not a full out right clog,
the drain just tends to take it’s time letting the water empty. Is there any
prevention or something to help with this? I hate using the harsh chemicals to
often. Val, 54

Tip from Tia:

I know what
you mean, you have to turn the faucet off, to watch the water run just fast
enough, to allow all the floaters in the sink, to now make a lovely ring around
the basin. It’s terrible. You then, stand there to wait for the water to fully
drain. After that, you can finally start the water back up, while splashing the
sides, fast a possible, on the things left behind, while they make their way to the drain. Repeat as necessary. Annoying!

Here’s a quick
fix that can help the slow drain before it becomes a clog that only the strong
stuff can handle. It’s more like something you’d see at the science fair, but
it’s natural, organic and it helps. Remember the volcanic eruption experiment? It’s
truly the same concept.

All you need is baking soda, vinegar and rubber gloves
for safety. Yes, it’s that simple. But the trick is getting the baking soda
into the drain pipe. If your drain stopper doesn’t seem to come out easily, get
a firm piece of paper and funnel it around the drain opening. Pour the baking
soda slowly through, because it tends to clump. Then after you got about a ½
cup in the drain, you add the vinegar. It will fizz like crazy. Quickly close
the stopper of the drain to allow the fizz to flow downwards.

Remember liquids
travels in the path of least resistance. When the effervescence is gone and the
reaction has stopped, open the drain back up and run warm water through the
pipe for a minute or so. Doing this every so often before the water starts
collecting a puddle, can help in the prevention of having a tough clog in the
future.

*If tough clogs are flooding the vessels and even industrial chemicals
are not helping, you may need to call in a professional plumber for further
assistance.
