Quickie: Prime your Zippers.

Seasons change and so do our wardrobes. Whether you’re putting jackets away or pulling them out, boot swaps, and jeans for jean shorts; be sure to prime your zippers, as I like to say.

Zippers get stuck and tricky after awhile. Struggling with a zipper, can only lead to an uncomfortable moment. Get a sharp pencil and run it across all your zippers before storing clothes or after pulling them out. The graphite will give the zipper a whole new life.

Tips in Action: Peppermint is Good for the Nose.

Peppermint has a lot of good properties, but did you know it’s good for the sinuses? Peppermint can kill bacteria and fungus that harbors and makes a film in your nose. This film is called biofilm and it’s bacteria and fungus’ natural defense, to prevent medicines from doing their job.

So, if you have had chronic sinusitis or a bad smell in your nose that you just can’t shake, try a drop of peppermint oil mixed with water, on a cotton swab and gently, swab the nostrils. Doing this twice a day, for 4-7 days will break down and kill the bacteria and fungus, that has been ruling your sinuses.
Always consult with your doctor before trying any medications or homeopathic remedies. If symptoms persist longer than a week, you should contact your doctor for testing and treatment.
