Those Little Things the Make Valentine’s Day. Tips in Action:

Best of Love Week!

Tips in Action: Those Little Things the Make Valentine’s Day.

Don’t forget to do the little gestures for your partner everyday; not just Valentine’s Day. But, if romance isn’t your everyday thing, here’s some tips to give a little attention to romance this week.

Write a love letter. A full page or so, of what your partner means to you. You don’t have to be poetic or have a writing ability to do this, just write what you feel.

Want more of an “in your face approach”, grab a lipstick and write on the mirror so they see it first thing. (Guys if your grabbing your woman’s lipstick to do this, grab an old one that looks dusty, not her brand new favorite, just a warning for you.)

If your partner is taking or making dinner for you, you should try to do the breakfast for them. Even just a cup of their most enjoyed morning beverage, is a great big way to say, “your appreciated”.

And, a gesture or hint to let your partner know, what they are in for later that day, is a good way to build the anticipation of the evening. Both of you will be almost, promised a good day while you await your reuniting.

Little things, do go a long way, try to remember that, everyday.

Men, how to get a parlor shave without razor burn and ingrowns.

By Tia Cristy

(Recap) Men, how to get a parlor shave without razor burn and ingrown’s.

Guys, this one is for you.

Men love to get a good shave and it’s a nice gift, if their lady gets them a trip to the barber, but what’s even sexier, is getting that parlor feel on a regular, weekly basis. And ladies, you can help your man get this feel at home.

First thing, wet a hand towel and wring it out, leave it in a bundle and then pop it in the microwave for about a minute. (give or take, depending on microwave wattage)

Check temperature, if it’s too hot, let it cool. Note: The face is more sensitive than the hands. Wrap the towel cradling the chin, so the towel covers the jawline and comes around the neck. Leave the nose open for breathing. Sit and relax for 5 to 10 minutes if you’ve got the time. (Guys need pamper time, too)

After the towel starts to cool, remove and make a sugar mixture. In a bowl combine about a 1/4 cup of sugar with a few teaspoons of water. The consistency should be like wet sand. Apply the sugar paste to the area that’s about to be shaven. To exfoliate, rub in a circular motion with a slight amount of pressure. It should not burn. (if it burns wash off immediately) Be sure to put the mixture down the neck as well. Once you are exfoliated, rinse off with warm water. Pat dry.

It’s now time to froth up that shaving cream before applying. In a clean bowl, squirt in your usual amount of shaving cream. Take a fork and whisk the cream up to allow some more air into the foam. (don’t over whisk or let sit too long, pending on cream it could go runny)

Apply to the face in desired shaving areas. Take your favorite non-electric razor, make sure it is clean and not dull. Begin to shave. Be aware of your pressure, since the exfoliating process removed dead skin and raised follicles higher than you maybe use too. SIDE NOTE: If a guy is being romantic and letting his lady shave him, give instructions prior; remember legs are different than faces. Don’t want to ruin a romantic moment with an accident.

(From the ingrown Tip
In a lot of ingrown hair cases for both men and women the razor is to
blame,
reason being, blade is too dull. Men have more blades on their razor
since it’s used for the face and neck so it gives a closer shave. But,
if the blade is dull, the blade clips the hair crooked and
irritates the skin to
plump up, and close off, causing the remainder of the hair to go back
under the skin and
loop.)

Once you are done the shave, rinse with warm water and pat dry. The splash face and neck again with cool water and pat dry. Don’t rub. Allow the air to dry the rest. Don’t use after shave with alcohol, it will only irritate the face. (Sugar is good
for healing open wounds such as razor burn. So use the left over sugar if needed
)

It’s important to moisturize after the shave. Again nothing with alcohol, or a sting factor. If you’re unsure, open up a bead of vitamin E, squeeze the entire capsule in your hand, spread and apply lightly. It’s thick and sticky but it will moisturize with out stinging. let sit for a minute and splash with cold water and pat dry. Your shave will feel parlor done.

By Tia Cristy

Quickie: Sex as a Fountain of Youth?

It’s been studied that “casual” sex or “affairs” have been shown to have a very negative effect, by aging a person, substantially, mentally and physically, due to health risks and stress.

Studies have also found having monogamous sex with your partner on a weekly basis, can make you look and feel 7-10 years younger. When you know your partner has a full clean bill of health, sex can have many good benefits. See, Lack of Sex Making you Sick?

One more reason, to not tell your spouse/partner anymore, “you’re not in the mood”. It’s cheaper than botox.

How to stay warm on cold nights, Even in Halloween Costumes.

By Tia Cristy
A Special Tip Edition (Recap: Great Tip to Remember!)

So it’s Halloween once again, and who knows what the weather will be like. Lots of parties and functions happen the weekend before Halloween as
well, so I wanted to bring this tip to you especially today. October is always a patch of strange weather patterns. So who knows if your costume will suffice or you’ll be suffering in the cold until you walk out the door.

Lots of ladies love to take the opportunity to go sexy and wear a little less for this holiday, but sometime the weather is so bitter, a coat or sweater has to cover up the clever character because, you can’t stop the shivers. And how sexy do you feel when your shivering so bad you can’t function. And after paying a hefty price tag for that costume, just to cover it up, can real be disappointing. Men usually tend to appear okay with whatever the weather may be but kids too, have had to battle some cold nights to get that candy.

Here’s a quick tip to help keep you warm if the night isn’t so mild. Grab a cordless heat wrap from the pharmacy. They come in different sizes for a better fit. It’s a Velcro band that heats up in about 30 minutes. This can actually work for a bunch of costumes, even if your costume is tight and little, (ladies). All you have to do is get a larger size and wrap it closer to your behind; that little poof skirt should hide this warmer from being seen. The cotton strap that wraps around the body is quite comfortable. If it’s too hot against your skin put a layer (scarf or bandana) in between the wrap and your skin.

If you decide to use this on your kids make sure you definitely have a layer in between their skin and the wrap. Check their comfort regularly. You don’t want any burns. And, kids tend not to feel temperature differences as quickly as an older child or adult. There are several warnings on the package, so be sure to read all of them before using.

This is a great idea for men and women going to outdoor sporting events too. The heat wrap usually lasts up to 8 hours. So next time you’re about to go see that football game throw one on under your jersey. Being warm makes it easier to cheer.

Don’t forget it takes 30 minutes to heat up, so try it out before you leave the house to make sure the level of heat is comfortable.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Lack of Sex Making You Sick?

Lack of Sex Making You Sick?

The truth about sex is, sex can make you sick. Having multiple partners or being non-monogamous, can put you at a far great risk of catching something. “Casual” sex can cause simple things like, the common cold to far worse life-threatening illnesses, even when thinking, safety measures have been implemented. (And, we’ve already discussed the very scary numbers of 1 in 4 over the age of 14 are carriers of something STD related)

But, studies have shown that people in long-term, monogamous relationships, have actually gained many health benefits from having a good and steady sex life. Spouses that partake in sex 3 times a week ( the average sex life, of a married couple) have an increase in their immune systems by 30%.

So, using the excuse that you don’t feel well, to get out of sex with your partner, according to the study, shouldn’t work anymore. Just think, the lack of sex with your spouse could be making you sick. Having a romantic tussle with your spouse, can help make all aliments feel better, even that headache!
