Facial Hair Looks Patchy, Fill it in.

Quickie: Facial Hair Looks Patchy, Fill it in.

tipsfromtia.com grouch

Facial hair looking patchy? You can’t cover it up without going unnoticed.

So, I recommend filling it in. Whether it’s female’s eyebrows or a man’s beard, sideburns or stache, facial hair can appear thin during certain times of the year due to shedding.

If facial hair has a spotty look, there’s a quick fix by using an eyebrow pencil. But, another way to fill in the spots, is using eyeshadow, which may be easier to match a hair color and can appear softer and more natural.

Either one you choose, be sure to wipe gently with a tissue to remove any excess and blend into the contours, in between hairs.

Hair Looks Thin, but is time to maintain color.

Hair Looks Thin, but is Time to Maintain Color.

Baby's Ear TipsfromTia.com

Problem:
My hair is really thinning, and of course I’m freaked out, but it’s time to bleach it and I just don’t want to do anything to it, in fear of losing more hair. I want to know is there anything I can do? K, 28

Tips from Tia: Baby thin hair is only temporary for babies, and adults don’t look as cute with it, it’s just a fact. So first, do you know the reason your hair is thinning? Is it the change of season? Have you’ve been sick, are you sick, been on medicine or had a bad dye job previously?

There are many reasons you could be losing hair. Sometimes yeast could be blocking your follicles, which you would need a anti-fungal regimen for your scalp. A scalp problem could cause thinning. A vitamin deficiency could cause hair loss as well. If any of these things are going on, it maybe time to ask your doctor to check it out.

Now, you need to brighten up your color, whatever color it may be. You said bleach, so if you want to be blonde, say “no” to the bleach for now. Get the blondest light permanent you can find, the more nourishing probably the better. If you are trying to achieve the highlight effect, I recommend a cream color, which will allow you to foil it in as you would a bleach. You can do this foil effect with any color. Multi-tone hair colors are better for looking fuller, than having one solid color.

Color will plump the hair, instead of deplete it like a bleach will. So stay away from products that strip the hair (bleaches, relaxers, straighteners and perms), until you have rebuilt strength to your hair. You may want to add a protein enriched shampoo and conditioner to help strengthen the hair. And remember, before you dry your hair, let it air dry to a damp wet, and apply a thermal protector to your strands before applying the heat from the dryer. This will help protect the weak strands from breakage.

And, when in doubt, leave it to a professional. It’s better to pay a colorist, then pay for a mishap.

Stupid Tip Of The Day; Plucking Your Eyebrows Without a Plan

By Tia Cristy

Stupid Tip of the Day; What Not To Do

Plucking your own eyebrows with out a plan.
Beautiful Eyes

Meaning: If you pluck, you better know where your natural arch is.

Knowing where to let your eye brow start and where it should end is key. The only thing more awkward then the uni-brow, is the brows that are too far apart.

Use a line to start, put your finger flat against the side of your nose to the brow. That is the starting area.

Now put your finger at the corner of your eye and go diagonal towards the top of your ear. That’s the finish line.

Always pluck the under side of the brow, not the top.

If it’s your first time plucking (even if you’ve waxed before) pluck a little at a time. Biggest mistake even a seasoned plucker can do, is over pluck.

Here’s a quickie if you are trying to get that beach wave look for your locks. The easiest way is washing your hair the night before. Not everyone can sleep on a wet head, but adding in a thermal or a voluminous product and drying it to an almost dry, is sufficient. The remaining moisture in the hair will help achieve the look by morning.

Now, plug in a large barrel curling iron. Using the large barrel will allow you to add wave to individual pieces to get the look you’re going for. Spray to hold and enjoy the compliments on your gorgeous waves.

Most people think you have to spend a fortune to get great hair. It’s not the case. Some products that have a higher end price tag can give you great hair, and some at low cost can be damaging, but it also goes vice versa as well.

The fact is ingredients has a lot to do with how well your hair looks. The most important thing is what you’re putting in the inside has a bulk to do with how great your hair, skin and nails look. So, eating healthy goes a long way.

But, for being sure you put the right ingredients on your hair all depends on what you need and what you’re looking for.

To make hair thicker, add some Rosemary oil drops to your shampoo bottle.

To make hair stronger, try an egg mask for 30 minutes on your damp hair. Simply mix eggs and milk, and apply.

To get an overall balance of healthy hair, add a dash of cayenne pepper to a palm full of conditioner. Then, rinse thoroughly.

And, to get a gorgeous shine, rinse hair for at least 30 seconds in cold water after washing. This conditions the strands to a brilliant shine.

Hair products don’t have to cost a ton, just be sure to switch out products after time, because hair tends to get a build up.
