How pets make your kids happier

01

Children can easily get carried away by the idea of owning a pet, somebody sweet, furry, and adorable to play and cuddle with. However, when it comes to pets, there is more than just puffy tails and pretty eyes. Owning one is a great responsibility which your child should be aware of. Still, pet will teach your child many important things, and will bring immense joy in their life.

Pets make them healthier

When babies grow up with a pet, they are less likely to suffer from allergies. Studies have shown that by the time they reach six, the risk of getting allergic reaction to house dust and hay fever is reduced by incredible 75 per cent. In addition, doctors believe that children who are often licked by cats and dogs are early exposed to bugs which live in pets’ mouths and this exposure will protect them in future. Not just that, but children who have pets often spend more time outside, especially dog owners who have to walk their dogs daily. Exposure to fresh air and sun will only do good for your child.

Pets make them emotionally stable

Growing up is tough, and every obstacle and minor problem you encounter seem like an enormous mountain before you and you feel like you are helpless and have no clue how to overcome it. In tough times, children are more likely to turn to their pets for comfort, and sharing sadness or confusion with their furry friend will make them feel much better. In addition, children who have strong and healthy relationship with their pets are more likely to be helpful, and share everything with their peers.

Pets teach them responsibility

It is not just about cleaning up after them, bathing them, and making sure they don’t have fleas, but it is about other things as well. Your child will learn to take care of needs of others: if your cat has sick kidneys or allergies, they will buy special food and water for them; royal canine prescription for healthy joints and bones for their dog; special kinds of seeds for their bunny, and special meat for their ferrets. Your child will learn responsibility and generosity, and you will be proud when you see them taking their pet to the vet and taking special care of them if they happen to be sick.

No more anxiety and fear

Cuddling their four-legged friend will make child feel less scared and less alone when they’re insecure. Sometimes it is difficult for children to open up and talk about what bothers them, but when it comes to pets, they will know that their secrets are safe and that their pets will not judge them. Moreover, those who are only just learning how to read will be far more comfortable reading to a pet than to somebody else, because cats and dogs will listen carefully and not laugh at them even if they make a mistake.

Clearly, benefits of owning a pet are numerous, and if they have one, your child will grow up to be kind, responsible, and generous adult. Their childhood will be happier and they will learn what unconditional love and devotion are like, when they see the joy their furry friends greet them with every single day.

Does acupuncture really helps relieve stress?

“Silver Needle Acupuncture In Medicine Cup†by Praisaeng

Acupuncture is a popular treatment modality in many chiropractic clinics and medical spas, and it is now being offered as a procedure to bust out stress. Acupuncture involves insertion of very thin needles in specific points in the skin by a skilled and licensed practitioner. This is based on the belief that insertion of needles in specific areas of the skin promotes flow of Qi; the proper flow of Qi in the body makes you healthy, while interrupted flow cause sickness. Learn more about acupuncture here.
Stress is a common and our life is full of it, so we tend to look for ‘quick’ and effective fixes. Acupuncture is now being used to relieve stress. We will examine if acupuncture is a good solution to this common problem.
Yes, acupuncture works wonders for stress relief
There is a reason why acupuncture is popular today, and that is because it works for certain conditions. Acupuncture works for common symptoms of stress, like pain, headache and menstrual cramps. If it works to relieve these symptoms, acupuncture will work to relieve your stress.
Acupuncture works for stress, and this is true according to science. Acupuncture cause stimulation that promotes normalization (reduction) of stress hormones. This results to relief from symptoms of stress. Stressed individuals who underwent acupuncture sessions have better sleep and improved well-being, and those things are more than enough to conclude that acupuncture is an effective stress buster.
Acupuncture for specific kinds of stress
Everyone has different perceptions on the discomfort caused by stress. As our chiropractors in Charlotte have noted, individuals often describe the feeling of being ‘stressed’ as feeling depressed, anxious, frustrated or fatigued.
Acupuncture is proven to reduce anxiety, even in individuals with generalized anxiety disorders. Needle-insertion in acupuncture procedures promotes release of chemicals in the brain that have painkilling properties, as well as stimulating the brain to control emotions. In the same manner, acupuncture works to reduce depression and achieve better pain control. In simple words, acupuncture relieves the abnormal ‘flight-or-fight’ response we feel as stress.
For several reasons, it is a good idea to try acupuncture first when you feel stressed, anxious or have lingering pain. Needle insertion in acupuncture is still invasive, but it is safer compared to use of medicines injected under the skin or in the veins. Acupuncture does not involve use of medicines that can cause serious side effects and addiction; acupuncture may produce mild bruising and some dizziness, but that’s all and is uncommon. For stress relief and resolution of anxiety, depression and lingering pain, acupuncture produces good and effective relief within minutes.
Description of acupuncture treatment sessions for stress relief
To achieve stress relief, the acupuncturist identifies specific points in your skin and inserts needles until half a millimeter away from the nerve. The patient feels sensation of peaceful relief and relaxation during and after treatment. For stress control, best practice recommends six to ten acupuncture sessions per week, and after achieving pain control, fewer sessions afterwards.
If acupuncture did not work for those conditions, you can always go to your doctor to have conventional treatment, and previous acupuncture sessions will not produce any complications.

What to Pack: Holiday Beauty Tips.

For me, planning a holiday can be very frustrating.
Since there are numerous things you need to bear in mind, you sometimes forget the things that are of greatest importance. Last year I was traveling to Europe and was preoccupied with lots of things and constantly worried about what can go wrong.
This year, I decided to pay more attention to packing instead of worrying about irrational things. This time, I made a comprehensive list of things that I should bring with myself. I actually made a special concerning only my beauty products, because last time I forgot so many things and spent a lot of money getting them in Europe.
So, finally, here it is, my list of beauty products you should bring with yourself to a longer journey. Check it out!

Have your “emergency kit†in your purse

Apart from all the makeup and skincare products that you pack in your suitcase, you should always have your “emergency kit†in your handbag. I always keep makeup wipes, moisturizer, a concealer and my favorite lipstick in the purse. This helps me look fresh and radiant, even if I have just landed.

Bring your toiletries!

Although it might sound a little paranoid, I never completely trust the hotel room service. That is exactly why I always have my toiletries packed. For example, I cannot imagine my vacation without my own hair products, especially the shampoo and conditioner adequate for my hair type. No matter where you go, your hair is exposed to both sun and water and carefully chosen hair products for your hair are always more effective than those provided by the hotel.

Apart from hair products, I also love to have my own deodorant, makeup wipes, hand sanitizer, cotton balls, deodorant, perfume and a shower gel with me. And last, but not the least, you should never go anywhere without your skin-care products. Hitting the road without my favorite cleanser, right facial moisturizer and body lotion would be a nightmare to me.

Apart from your regular skin-care products, you should also pack the ones that you will need at the beach. For example, I always bring Jane Iredale Facial Spritz Hydration Spray that helps my skin stay fresh all the time, as well as a quality self-tanner and sunscreen, which is a must-have item on every vacation.
If you are afraid that you will forget something important, I advise you to sit down and make a list of all the toiletries you use every day. It helps me a lot, and I hope that it will help you, as well.

Don’t bring all your makeup!

Makeup is a must when you go on a longer holiday. Also, bringing too much makeup might make spatial problems. That’s exactly why I always restrict myself to a couple of products I like the most.
Don’t clutter your suitcase with unnecessary shadows and lipsticks you will never use. Pack your favourite mascara, eyeliner, a couple of lipsticks, foundation, a blush and your favourite palette of eyeshadows and you are ready!

So that is my list of must-have beauty products for this year’s Europe trip. I hope it will help you not to forget a crucial item when you go travelling! Enjoy!

Coconut Oil is a Must.

I’ve recently, discovered if you have a body, coconut oil is a must. I have found ways to use it from head to toe. The price tag seems a little steep to some consumers, but I found it can replace so many products. Plus, a little oil goes a long way.

For silky younger hands, put a dab of oil on each hand, and rub like regular hand cream. The oil absorbs deeper into the layers of skin, than regular hand creams.

Look for more uses for coconut oil in the search area, atop the page.
