Look Rich to Get Rich.

Once you find yourself in the world of business, you will realize that there is much more than just doing a good job that influences you and your company. It’s about many other factors as well, including advertising, observing the market, trying to beat competition, and keeping up appearances. It’s not just the way you dress that can determine whether you will sing the next contract or not, but the way your office looks too.

Sharp dressed men and women

It is not necessary to spend all your savings on acquiring designer clothes and pieces so you have no money for food afterwards just so you can look rich. You can achieve the ‘rich and sophisticated’ look without breaking the bank. Wear well-fitting clothes, and make sure every piece on you is clean and in good condition. What is more, you don’t have to wear pieces that have designer logos stamped all over them; designer clothes usually are discreet with their logo placement, but you should make sure all your clothes are of good quality and preferably from natural materials. In addition, you can find a tailor and have at least some items custom made for you – no better way to ensure your clothes are well-fitting.

The space you work in

What good is it to be dressed in the best clothes when you will be sitting in a broken down chair in a dusty office that even has no windows? You need your office to reflect the air of wealth if you would like to attract similar clientele. This means a comfortable couch and armchairs in the waiting room, classy office chairs around your desk, and an office desk made of high-quality materials such as glass, steel, mahogany, and marble. You should also make sure there is enough natural light and plenty of functional and stylish lamps which will make the best atmosphere. However, try not to make your working environment too sterile; make sure your furniture is comfortable, and have live plants and fresh flowers around to liven up the atmosphere.

The details that matter

Painting Fingernails

Remember, it is not just the way you dress and decorate your office that counts, it’s the way you pay attention to details and take care of yourself.

Dirty fingernails are repulsive unless you are a gardener or a mechanic, so manicure is a must. In addition, dandruff all over your shoulders and dirty hair will make you look messy and less professional. Clean hair or at least a hairstyle which will disguise the fact that you are dying to wash it will do the trick; and this is one of the reasons women love braids and buns. Having a few expensive accessories will make you look good and professional even when paired up with plainest possible clothes: good watch, designer sunglasses, expensive tie, or a discreet piece of jewelry.

Remember, keeping up appearances and always looking your best is incredibly important, but that doesn’t mean you should forget about other things completely. Always offer the best service, focus on professionalism, and be honest with your potential and regular clients and customers, as well as with your employers. After all, money doesn’t fall from heaven and you should make an effort and have a lot to offer before you get rich.

Sexy Hair Tips is Coming to TipsfromTia.com

I am so please to present TipsfromTia.com newest contributor, Sexy Hair guru, J. Christian. Before I tell you J.’s first tip he shared with me, let me fill you in on how the stars aligned and our paths crossed.

I was out and about with a friend the other week. We had just enjoyed a delicious plate of the most incredible sautéed brussels sprouts with goat cheese and we were acquiring our final cocktails, when a group of men walked past us, fully painted ebony with gold leaf swirls painted across their chests. Needless to say, it caught our eyes. The chiseled men posed with patrons as a classy, professional business woman stood guard over them. I asked the woman what was the deal. Marcy, as she introduced herself, told me it was a charity event for the local children’s hospital and her husband, J. Christian and their salon donated their time and painted these live statues for the event. Moments later a man with long, rocker hair, tattoos and rings on every finger opened his arms to me as he said, “Tia, I’m J. Christian.”

J. and Marcy were instantly friends of mine. I adored them for taking time to help the children. Yet, I fell in love as I learned about their history. J. has been an international artist and teacher when it comes to the hair industry. Marcy is the business part. They have one rule with each other, Marcy writes the checks and J. does the hair. The posh J. Christian Studio in Hockessin has one rule too. “Ensure everyone that comes in contact with the salon is elevated by the experience and looks and feels better about themselves and lives.”
Helping children isn’t the only charities J. Christian participates in; they donate a lot of time, yearly raising money for various charities. J. spends his daily time teaching not only his employees on how to be the best to their clients, but also teaches his clients the right techniques for their individual hair types. J. has high standards when it comes to his staff. But, that is what makes the salon so award worthy.

Sitting in his vibrant red chair while he cut my hair using a dry technique, he schooled me on the history of hair care products. The discussion focused more on what ingredients not to use, instead of what products I have to use, like other salons try to do. I found out that he was named a top 6th artist in the world, and this New Yorker chose Hockessin, De. to call home during this time in his life. People will travel to get a cut and color at the J. Christian Studio, and by the time he pulled off my cape I could certainly see why. But, it wasn’t just a cut… It was a fulfilling experience. I felt beautiful and smarter by the time I got out of his chair.
Before I left the studio, I ensured J. Christian for my readers to learn as well. He is now our newest addition to the group and he will contribute hair care tips on a regular basis for TipsfromTia.com.
I welcome him and his company, and I hope you take advantage of his upcoming tips and share TipsfromTia.com links with your friends and family.

Ok, time for the very first tip I got from J. Christian. He shared with me… Don’t put tea tree oil in the shampoo for dandruff. For better results, Apply the tea tree to the scalp  a few minutes before washing your hair to beat dry scalp this upcoming winter.

It is no longer a secret that most commercial beauty products contain potentially hazardous ingredients. The hair care solutions don’t make an exception. Many of these products have added hormone-disruptive substances such as sulphates in the form of synthetic fragrances. On the other hand, the conventional shampoos, conditioners and masks may irritate or dry out the sensitive skin of the scalp. As a result there may be an over –production of oils, leading to greasy hair or excessive amount of dandruff. Hair fall can also be attributed to the chemicals in the hair products.
You need a cleaning solution that will not damage your hair and will leave it healthy and shiny. Natural DIY products may be the answer that you need. Here are a couple of recipes that can replace all your existing hair solutions.

1. Moisturizing Oil Treatment

As mentioned earlier, conventional products can be harsh and strip away the natural oils from the scalp. A pre-shampoo oil treatment will restore the balance of your skin and moisturize your hair. The oils will also create a barrier between the hair and shampoo, offsetting the negative effects of the regular hair cleaning solutions. You can use one type of oil such as Extra Virgin Olive oil or Avocado oil or you can combine two or three different oils and add some essential oils.
Ingredients:
• 1/3 cup coconut or any moisturizing oil
• 3-5 drops essential oil of your choice
Blend the oils well and apply on the hair. Let it sit under conditioning for at least an hour.

2. Apple Cider& Vinegar Hair Rinse

Apple cider vinegar is not only full of beneficial nutrients, but it also helps purify the scalp, removes the excess build-up and restores the natural pH balance of your skin and hair. It will also eliminate the dandruff and relieve the itchy scalp, while adding shine and volume to your hair.
• 3-5 distilled lukewarm water
• 5tbsp organic apple cider
• 2-3 tea tree oil
Stir all the ingredients and pour over your hair while still in the shower to avoid the mess.

3. Scalp and Hair Cleanser

If you are looking for effective and natural cleaning solution for your hair, try betonite clay. The ingredient detoxifies, fights itchy and dry scalp, prevents fungus and provides essential minerals and nutrients.
• 1 cup Betonite clay
• ¼ Aloe Vera Juice or gel
• ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
• 1 cup hot water
• 3-5 drops tea tree oil
Mix all ingredients and whisk. Apply on slightly damp hair and let it dry for at least an hour. Rinse well and condition the hair.

4. Chocolate Deep Conditioner

Cocoa powder is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and magnesium, making it amazing natural product with various application. In this case, it will add vibrancy, volume and shine to your hair. It will also stimulate the healthy hair grow. Plus, your hair will smell amazing.
• ¼ cup raw cacao powder
• 1 cup Greek Yogurt
• 3tbsp coconut oil
• 3 drops lavender or other essential oil
Combine all ingredients together and use it onto freshly washed hair. Leave it for 45 minutes.

The Ultimate Health Guide for Women

Many nutrients and vitamins are crucial for everyone no matter the age. However, as we are getting older our bodies require more. Women, especially, have to pay more attention to their bodies than men. So, here are some things you need to consider:

Vitamin A

This vitamin is a great antioxidant which can better your immune system. It can also improve your vision, lower the risks of heart disease, and it helps to slow down the skin aging process. However, it could be toxic if taken in big amounts, so be careful.

Vitamin B

Vitamins B6, B12, and folic acid are some of the most important types for your body. B6 is important because it enables your brain to work properly and to convert all the food you eat into energy. However, this vitamin could be toxic if you take a lot of it at once, so just try taking it through nutritious food like potatoes, fish, avocadoes, cereals, and meats. B12 also plays a big role when it comes to metabolism, and you can get this vitamin from cheese, fish, eggs, milk, and meat. Folic acid helps with building a healthy brain and spinal cord. What is more, it can prevent the changes in DNA and causes of cancer. This acid is especially important for pregnant women.

Vitamin C

Women in their 30s are prone to developing an iron-deficiency anemia (low levels of iron). If you suffer from this, you will feel tired all the time, especially during your menstrual cycles, since you are losing a lot of blood. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron from food or supplements. Other than that, it can prevent heart disease and boost your immune system. What is more, it helps the wounds heal faster and can prevent the occurrence of wrinkles. The best sources of vitamin C are strawberries, broccoli, oranges, and kiwis.

Vitamin D

This vitamin (more precisely hormone) helps calcium and phosphorus get into the bloodstream and to your bones. When there is a deficiency of vitamin D in your organism it will take those two minerals from your bones, which will become weaker, and that can lead to osteoporosis. Foods that are rich with vitamin D are eggs and fish (salmon, mackerel, and sardines). In addition to protecting your bones, vitamin D is believed to prevent breast and ovarian cancer as well as offering protection from diabetes.

Calcium

It is crucial to mention how important calcium is for the strength of your bones and teeth. As said before, calcium is a mineral which works together with vitamin D and makes your bones thick and healthy. Women during their 20s start to lose density in their bones, so this mineral is important for women in their 30s to prevent osteoporosis. Sources of calcium are best found in dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese. However, if you are not taking enough calcium through food, you can always get calcium supplements to strengthen your bones.

Finally, it is very important for women to regularly take all of these vitamins, because you start to lose important minerals in your 20s. Another reason why you should take care of your intake of these vitamins mentioned is because one day you will be pregnant and all of these are good for baby’s development and growth.
