With cold and flu season, people tend to be a little more thorough with the cleaning habits. Germs can get on everything. One item most people forget to wipe down on a weekly basis is, the remote control.

I know, it’s not a hotel remote, only you and the family use it. But remember, its used when your or the kids are sick, after coughing, eating, licking fingers, etc. These unnoticed habits, can leave behind a ton of populating germs.

Best way to wipe down the remote, is with a wrung out cloth or paper towel mixed with vinegar and water. A quick wipe over will kill bacteria and germs.

Tough to reach in between buttons? Use a cotton swab to get in the small spaces.

What Does Craving Sweets Have To Do with your Health?

What Does Craving Sweets Have To Do with your Health?

Delicious Chocolate Cake TipsfromTia.com

Problem:

I keep craving candy and other sweets! I just can’t help myself. During my workday, I hit the vending machine at least once a day, for a candy bar. At night, I want cookies! Why can’t I stop? It’s like I need to have it! Why?  Sam, 41

Tip From Tia:

Around this time of year till year’s end; sweets are going to be inevitable. As we finish the summer’s ice cream sunday’s and carnival treats, we roll on, where the cold weather will be coming in soon enough and upcoming holidays, will surround us with tasty treats. But that is no reason to splurge on the cane, sugar that is.

There are many reasons other than the time of year, you body wants the sweets. For example, after you eliminate the reason of boredom or just part of a scheduled routine, you must than appreciate, the human body is super smart and it will crave what it needs. We, ourselves are not as smart at understanding our bodies! Instead of us
eating spinach for calcium, we’ll grab the ice cream from the freezer.

Ask yourself; is it a certain kind of candy or sweet you’re craving?
Perhaps, if you keep craving peanut butter cups, it could be several
different things; your body may need protein, which the peanut butter would give you.

Chocolate itself has many benefits, for instance, it can soothe a person. A depressed individual will feel relief after ingesting chocolate. A woman eats chocolate close to her cycle because, it actually does elevate her symptoms. Chocolate also helps with digestion. Think if you need candy or desert after you’ve eaten a heavy meal.

If it’s just any sort of sugar rush, than, sugar could be what your body is craving. If that’s the case, more than likely you are not producing enough natural sugars because of your diet.

Or, a bad thing, could be you have yeast in your gut and it’s feasting off the sugar, which can cause cravings. That is not good, because once is feeds off large doses of sugar it allows bad yeast to multiply, quickly.

So you need to be proactive and rule out any stomach issues or other recent body complaints, if you can’t rule out feeling crappy, call your
doctor! It’s better to be safe than sorry. You may need a blood test to make sure your yeast (ask for this test specifically, routine blood tests don’t test for it) and sugar aren’t off balance.

Now, if you were able to rule out that you don’t have any issues,
except you want sweets, well then, ask yourself are you getting enough grains or fruits in your diet? Most dieters remove breads from their daily menu, but you need to be sure you are replacing those natural sugars with something else, like oatmeal or whole-meal breads.

Try using healthy foods to reduce that incorrigible sweet tooth. Substitute cupcakes with cornbread muffins. Carrot sticks are actually high in sugar so eating them can fulfill a sugar craving, but give you organic nutrition.

And if it’s a mind soother your body is trying to achieve, eating
better will be a positive start to a more positive attitude. Candy and deserts are a fine intake when taken in small doses. So use your judgement and be sure to always keep your doctor in the loop about any changes you make including diet.

5 fluffy things you have to have.

People would agree that there’s nothing more beautiful than cue, fluffy things, especially if you consider that irresistibly soft and airy feeling they create at the lightest touch. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine how your fingers are gently passing through a pleasant downy texture or a fluffy item which slowly cuddles your face. The feeling is priceless and incomparably enjoyable. Not only they will remind you of pleasant moments you enjoyed during your childhood, but they will put a smile on your face whenever you touch their soft surface.

2. A fluffy pet
Is there anything cuter from a perky cat with glamorously fluffy tail and soft fur? Well, probably not. So, regardless of whether you already have a pet or you’re just looking to welcome one into your home, a Persian cat which looks like a little ball of fur is definitely something what will fill your days with enjoyment and fun. Just imagine having a fluffy little creature in your lap during a cold winter, and you’ll wonder how you could ever spend your days without her. In case you are not fond of cats, that can be a dog or a rabbit, just make sure it’s the fluffiest thing you’ve ever touched.

3. Puffy home accessories
If you want your home to radiate an ever-present comfort and warmth, you should consider getting at least one fluffy home item. Think about woolly cashmere blankets that offer delightful warmth while it’s cold outside, or consider turning your after-bath moments into incomparable pleasure by using fluffy cotton towels. Your feet need a special treatment, especially if you have had long, busy days during the week. Fleecy and warm slippers are probably the most comfortable thing you can have on your feet while resting in your home, not to mention that there are a bunch of tremendously funny designs you can choose from. Depending on what you like the most, you can pick soft spa flip flops, lovely bunny slippers to match with your pyjama party outfit or puffy ones shaped as your favourite cartoon or comic book character. Whichever slippers you choose, one thing is sure – you’ll feel like you’re walking on clouds.

5. Funny and downy key pendants
You probably have a thousand keys in your purse or on the hook next to your entrance doors, and they are excellent for connecting with another fluffy item – a key pendant. The choices are endless here, so you can, for instance, pick lavishly fluffy ball keychain made of artificial fur or cute animal-shaped key pendants which can look very chic if attached to your bag.

Some things never go out of fashion which is exactly the case with those beautiful fluffy items. They will offer you pleasure, a tremendous dose of softness and an opportunity to say: “It’s so fluffy, I’m gonna die!â€

How to Make a Peaceful Oasis in Your Garden
We are surrounded by things people have built, tall buildings, houses, traffic, technology, and by living that fast life, in this concrete jungle, we forget how to enjoy ourselves. We need to learn how to live in a moment and appreciate every second, always tend to find something good in everything bad that has happened to us.
There is no better place to start than your home, and there is no better way to achieve peace of mind and relaxation than surrounding yourself with at least just a tiny bit of nature. Connection with the nature works the best for healthy mind and body. Although we are not built to survive in jungle, to live only by nature, but we can build our own small peaceful oasis where we can come every day and just sit there, relax, and breathe.

Location
First of all you need to find a perfect location. Look around, see where trees cast their shades for the most of the day and start from there. Flat ground is also required since you will need room for chairs or something to sit on, since you are going to spend most of your time off right there. You would want it to be some place quiet, so loud noises won’t disturb your peace.

Privacy
In order to completely relax and truly enjoy, you need to make it private, if it is not already. To achieve this, you can simply put up a fence, or some kind of barrier, just to be there, and then plant liana or some similar plant so it can climb up your fence and all around it. In that way you will have complete privacy made of nature only.

Plants
There are simply numerous benefits that plants provide, and it is unnecessary to mention all of them here, but probably the most important one is fresh and clean air. Here you can put your imagination to work and plant all kinds of various plants, from grass and trees to exotic ones. Only thing you need to pay attention to is climate in your area. Some plants cannot handle climate that is vastly different from its own natural habitat.

Water
Fountain, lake, waterfall or water of any kind is a must. Although it is not cheap, it is the key for making an effective oasis. You are able to reach incredible focus and relaxation by simply watching the water. It has been proven that the water gazing is one of the best ways to achieve tranquility and some say that it even prolongs one’s life.

Furniture
For outdoor furniture tend to buy something made of natural materials like wood. It is not only comfortable and sustainable, but it also blends into your small paradise much better than plastic. Esthetics can be very important for better relaxation. Wintons Teak outdoor furniture manufacturers offer a wide range of furniture made out of natural materials such as teak and wicker.

Lightning
For lightning you don’t want anything too bright, but you don’t want to sit in the dark either. Something dimmed or placed far away would be perfect. Low light is great for relaxation for both, your eyes and your mind.

If this is something you are really passionate about, you are going to build it with joy and ease. There is nothing better than working on something you love and you are going to enjoy it later on, for the rest of your life. It is a long term investment, and it can go on for generations.
