Tips on Triggers: Nice Days Triggering the Desire to do Yard Work.
I felt it myself. The winter is coming to an end, and the urge to get outside and clean up the beaten yard when the sun is shining, it is running through your veins. Well it’s not time to do all that stuff, that most enjoy like, grass seed and flowers; The last frost hasn’t happened yet. But you need to shake off your cabin fever, so what is it time to do, in the the yard? Now is the time, to cut back those trees and bushes that aren’t populated with leaves and bugs. While doing that, you’ll get some much needed vitamin D. Remember, have the right tools for the job. Safety is always important; have help if you need it, be sure to wear long sleeves, pants and boots and have eye and hand protection. Grab a good pole saw to make the job go a lot smoother. You’ll be thankful you did. Check out www.sherrilltree.com/Professional-Gear/Pole-Saws

Stupid Tip of the Day: Freezing the Odor Out of Your Shoes.
I heard freezing your shoes will remove odor. Fact is, freezing the shoes can sometimes only freeze the bacteria and fungi that is making the shoes smell in the first place, so once it is frozen, some top layer, bad stuff, may die off, and the smell will go away. But, once your feet warm up the shoes, the bacteria and fungi that didn’t die off, will thaw, have an extra moisture source and begin to grow again. And, may make the situation worse.
So, freezing is not the way to go, kill odor with vinegar. Wiping shoes down with a vinegar soaked cotton ball and letting it dry will kill the bad stuff and reduce the smell. Keep this in mind, bacteria and fungus can penetrate deep so I recommend rubbing shoes down with vinegar once a week, even if there is no odor.

Removing Stubborn Pet Hair from Clothes. Tips in Action:
It can be a hassle to have a wardrobe of light clothes with a dark colored pet, and vice versa with dark clothes. Some materials are not pet friendly at all, …for example wool. Everything sticks to it. But truthfully, why go without a jacket you love? There’s an easy trick to actually remove the pesky pet hair.
If you’ve tried the lint roller and it just won’t cut it.
Sticky lint rollers are amazing, but sometimes they just can get those hairs in some fibers. Remember, duct tape fixes everything. Take a strip of tape and apply it to the garment, applying a smoothing pressure and peel off quickly. Just imagine, it’s as if you’re waxing your garment. It should pull up that stubborn hair. Repeat process if necessary.
Everybody loves to snuggle up with their pets. But, you also love your clothes, so use this tip to leave the fear of everyone else noticing how much you love your pet.

Lighting votive candles can bring a beautiful ambiance to a room, but once they burn down it’s hard to get the left over wax out of the glass holder.
A quick tip to get that wax to pop out effortlessly is, once the candle and glass cool completely, place in the freezer overnight.
The next day, remove from the freezer. Use a spoon handle and push wax from one side and the remaining wax should come out in a complete mass. If it still gives some trouble break the seal of the wax to candle and try again.

Let’s say, major weather is hitting your coast. Hurricanes are making their presence known in all states east of the Mississippi, Typhoons are washing out beaches or perhaps, Cyclones are soaking the land down under. You’re getting flooded (literately) from the news stations, with tips to stay safe, but here are a few safety tips you should use when facing a major weather crisis, no matter where you are in the world.
Weather Alert
If it’s a mandatory evacuation, do it. You can only protect your stuff to a certain point. Make sure in the car you have packed all your necessities that you will need for at least a week. You never know if you’ll need them or not, but it’s best to have more than less.
Weather Advisory Necessities
1. Paper
Take a roll of toilet paper and paper towels to keep in the car, you never know when you’ll need them.
2. Nonperishable Food
Bring food. It may take hours to get where you are going and stopping for a bite to eat may not be an option.
3. Something to Keep You Busy
Bring games, easy ones of course. If you have kids, make sure you have games for them and for you as well.
Remember, frustrations can get high in evacuation settings, so be sure to instruct the kids on keeping noise levels down and refrain from arguing, as well as assuring them that there is presently no danger. You don’t want them to panic silently if they see you’re chafed.
What if you don’t have to evacuate
I’m sure you’ve heard all the important things needed to keep close by and dry. Flashlights, batteries, radio, insurance papers (keep in a large freezer bag), food and bottled water are all things you want to have in the house.
Light a Fire
Here are a few more tips the news hasn’t mentioned, and you may not have thought of; keep lighters in a location where they will stay dry and are easy to find, but also get books of matches. This is good to have in case the lighters get wet or lose fluid. Dip the match head and strike strip in hot wax. (Blow out the candle before dipping the book of matches, you don’t want it to ignite the matches by accident.) This will waterproof the matches.
Why Do People Fill the Bathtub During a Storm
Next tip, fill the bathtub with water. This is good if for any reason the water in source becomes contaminated or you need power for your water supply. This water can be used to flush toilets, clean clothes, wash dishes etc. Keep a small bucket next to the tub to transport water to another area to do such things, keep the tub water clean for as long as you can.
One More Thing
And last but probably most important, while still with power, keep your cell phone on the charge. You don’t want to lose power and have less than half battery life in the middle of the storm.
