Dress to Impress for Any Date That’s Thrown Your Way

Let’s face it, we all dress to impress. When we go on a first date, we break out the little black dress that’s a tad too little, the expensive jewelry we’ve only worn once in our life, and the sexy black heels that give us painful blisters. We all know what to wear and how to impress our date when he takes us to dinner. But what if he decides to be adventurous and take you somewhere else for your date? Well here are some tips on how to dress to impress in uncharted waters.

Hiking Up Lover’s Lane

Hiking is a great date idea. It shows that you’re fit, healthy, and smart and lets you get to know each other more intimately. But how do you impress the guy with your fashion as well as your athleticism? You dress sporty, cute, and smart. You don’t want to go out there dressed like Ranger Rick, and you don’t want to be out in your sundress. Instead, opt for something waterproof, cool, and light. Break out the sweats – men dig women in yoga pants and running leggings. Wear something that hugs your curves yet makes you feel comfortable exercising and pair your outfit with either running shoes or cute hiking boots. It’s important to dress accordingly as well as take along a small backpack with necessities. As for hair and makeup, do your hair in a casually sexy ponytail or braid, and go for natural minimalistic make-up. Look like you didn’t try too hard to look that cute.

Shout Your Love from the Top of a Roller Coaster

Amusement parks are a great date idea because you always have something to do and it gets rid of those awkward silences. However, dressing for a theme park date is hard because your outfit must take you from the morning to the night, and through hot temperatures and wet water rides. This is also another date where a dress or skirt simply won’t cut it – unless you plan on flashing everyone on the ride. Your best bet is to go for a casual chic look. Shorts and a tank top, graphic tee, or airy top are perfect for most of the elements you will be going up against at the park. Wear stylish sneakers and avoid anything with any type of heel as you will be doing a lot of walking. Take inspiration from the park and dress to match the theme. When it comes to make-up, be sure to wear SPF moisturizer and a primer because you need your make-up to last all day. Make your eye make-up and mascara as water resistant as possible and wear a lipstick stain to make sure the look lasts all day, especially important on a water ride.

Striking in Love

Most people don’t go bowling anymore. However, it’s not because it’s not fun, but because bowling has turned into an activity geared towards couples. So, what do you wear to bowl a strike in his heart? The key is your top. Wear a nice shirt and bring a stylish jacket if it’s cold outside. You will get hot inside, so make sure you wear something fashionable underneath. It is probably best to wear long pants, because you will be bending down most of the night. But, the most important thing to wear is socks and shoes that are easy to take off. You don’t want those nasty germs on your bare feet, and you also don’t want your date to watch you struggle to take your shoes off. When it comes to jewelry, less is more. Do not wear any rings or bracelets because it will distract your bowling. Instead, wear a simple necklace. When it comes to make-up, you can wear what makes you comfortable but consider the fact that most bowling dates are at night during cosmic bowling hours, so don’t wear anything that will look weird under a black light.
