Quickie: Prevent Snow from Sticking to Shovel.
When the snow is wet and slushy, it never fails that the snow is much heavier and sticks to the shovel. An easy, quick tip to prevent the snow from sticking to the shovel is wiping it down with cooking oil or cooking spray, before you start to shovel.
Oil and water never mix, so it will make the snowy mush, slide right off the shovel as you toss it aside.
