There are loads of different beauty products out there on the market right now, which are all aimed at a variety of budgets. So no matter how much you have to spend on your beauty, you will certainly be able to find something to suit your bank balance and skin! However, there is one major downside to a lot of the cheaper products is that they often contain high levels of chemicals and artificial ingredients. These can be very damaging to your skin in the long run. One way to continue a very affordable beauty regime is to use some natural products, free from any chemicals. Here are some of the best natural ingredients you should look for in beauty products – you can even use them to make homemade products if you want!

Charcoal

You may think that charcoal is quite a dirty product, as it is pitch black and quite crumble. However, activated charcoal is very beneficial for your skin. That’s because it can draw micro-particles, bacteria, and dirt away from the skin, helping you achieve a really deep clean. Not only that, though, but it can be used for treating infected wounds and poisonous bites. You can also incorporate it into your detoxes. There is more information about using charcoal to detox with online at sites like Kimberly Snyder.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has gained a lot of positive press in beauty blogs and websites recently – rightly so, too! This wonderful oil can be used in a variety of different ways to help you look your best. For instance, you can use it as a hair mask to help keep your locks well-maintained. You can also add it to your bath to moisturize your skin. But one of the best ways to use this oil is to replace your regular facial moisturizer with it. Simply apply a small amount every morning, and your face will stay smooth and supple throughout the day!

Beeswax

If you like the idea of making your own lotions and bars of soap, you will need to find a way of binding all the ingredients together and getting them to set. One of the best ingredients for this is natural beeswax. This type of wax has excellent thickening qualities, and you only need to add a little to your concoctions, so a pound of this stuff goes a long way! Remember to add some to any lotions, lip balms, and creams that you usually make.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are great added to a variety of homemade beauty products, as they will add some fantastic fragrances. Some have quite specific benefits as well, for instance, chamomile has a brilliant relaxing effect on the mind and body. You should also consider adding essence of mint to any facial creams, as the oil can effectively soothe sensitive cream.

Don’t forget that there are a lot more great natural ingredients out there – these are just a few examples! Hopefully, they will all help you create a truly natural skincare routine!

Simple Steps Towards Achieving Your Health Goals

Simple Steps Towards Achieving Your Health Goals

Whether you’ve just decided to get in better shape or you’re still persevering with your New Year’s Resolution, achieving your health goals can be tricky. There always comes a time when you are tempted to give up and throw in the towel. That’s not the way to go if you want to find success, though. It’s important to put a plan in place and ensure that you can follow it through to the end. Here are some steps to take.

Define Them Clearly

You should start by defining your goals clearly. You’ll never achieve your goals unless you have a very precise vision of what success will look like. For example, if you have vague goals such as ‘lose some weight’, you won’t have anything precise to focus on. It doesn’t tell you whether you want to lose a couple of pounds or a couple of stone. So, get this sorted out first. Then you will be able to set your sights on the very clear things that you want to achieve. And that puts you in a much better position to be in. Learn more about setting goals at health.com/.

Focus on Motivation and Methods

These two things matter most if you want to achieve your goals. It’s never easy to get there. But it will only be possible if you are motivated and have the right methods to help you get to where you want to be. So, what’s your reason for wanting to get fit? Why now? What is motivating you? You need to have some kind of motivation, and you probably do already if you just think about it. No one decides to change their lifestyle dramatically unless they have a clear reason for wanting to do so. Then you need to clarify your methods. How are you going to get from where you are now to where you want to be?

Get the Right Professional Support

For some people, it will be necessary to get some kind of professional support to achieve your health goals. If you want to improve your general health or want to lower your cholesterol or blood pressure, you’ll need to work with your doctor on making plans. There is plenty of information sourced at MTM-Inc.net to help you find the right medical support. Alternatively, you might need to talk to a personal trainer or nutritionist and hire them to help you if you want to get fit or lose some weight.

Keep Looking Back and Appreciating Your Progress

Being able to appreciate where you came from and what you want to achieve going forward is important when you’re aiming to improve your health. You’ll never get very far if you don’t have the ability to appreciate your success so far. Looking at what you’ve done well will also give you plenty of motivation to achieve more. If you’ve achieved things so far, who’s to say you can’t achieve even more? So, don’t be too harsh on yourself. Let yourself feel proud of the things you do well as you’re working towards your goals.

Getting Your Pre-Baby Body Back!

Getting Your Pre-Baby Body Back!

Having a baby is truly life changing in so many ways. You’re now responsible for this precious new baby- and everything in your life is now centered on keeping them safe and happy. However, it’s still important to do things for yourself too. Getting back into shape after pregnancy is one of the ways you can maintain your identity and boost your confidence. As well as being happy in your looks, living well is also beneficial for your health too- which is more important than ever now you have someone who is relying on you. Here are some of the ways you can feel great after having a baby.

Eat Smart

Hopefully, you will have eaten healthily during your pregnancy, so maintaining this after the baby is born shouldn’t be too much of a struggle. You need foods to replenish you and help your body to repair. You need foods to energize you, and provide you with nutrients. This is even more important if you’re breast feeding. Batch cooking and dividing up portions for the freezer can be useful when you have a new baby. That way you always have access to healthy, home cooked food which you can simply pop in the microwave or oven.

Find a Workout Routine That Works For You

A new baby means there’s less time than ever to workout. The trick is to find a routine or activity that works for you, that you can fit in around your other commitments. Perhaps you could take a long walk around the park each day with your baby in the pram? It means you both get some fresh air and you can get your body moving, so it kills two birds with one stone. Maybe you could do an exercise DVD or follow a Youtube workout video in the evenings a couple of times a week. Don’t jump into an exercise routine too soon after having a baby, it’s suggested that you wait until after your postnatal check between six and eight weeks after giving birth. Sites like www.fitpregnancy.com have more information

Consider Surgery

If you’re struggling to accept your new body after childbirth, there are options for you to consider once you’re completely healed. Loose skin and stretch mark scars on the stomach can be corrected with a simple procedure. Since the skin has stretched, it will never return to how it was before, so all of the exercise in the world won’t make a difference. Sagging breasts are another common symptom of pregnancy and childbirth, an augmentation can return them to a shape and size you’re happy with. You can find out more on a site like www.roxyplasticsurgery.com/services/breast-augmentation. If you plan on having more children in the future, then it’s worth holding off on this, but if you know, you’re having no more then a surgical procedure can give you your confidence back. All women are different, some are fine accepting their scars whereas others struggle with their appearance. If it’s something that bothers you, you don’t have to live with it.

Getting back to a figure or weight you’re happy with is useful after having a baby. It’s not all about looks, rather how you feel in yourself. Being confident means, you can get back out into the world without your insecurities holding you back!

Boost Your Health By Making These Small Changes

Boost Your Health By Making These Small Changes

Our health is vitally important to us, but there are some things we do each day without even realising that could be hindering our health in some way. It may only be a small thing, but over a longer period, some of the things we do, eat or drink can have an adverse effect on our health. Of course, we all have to live a little and enjoy treats and life, but at the same time perhaps changing the way we do things or our habits would improve our health overall and make us ultimately feel much better. So I thought I would share with you some of the smaller changes you could make that could end up having a big impact on your health.

Give up smoking

Smoking is one of those things that can become a habit very quickly. Many people who smoke may have just started on a whim years ago and now feel like it is more of a comfort to them and find it difficult to stop. But I’m sure some of us are aware that smoking can cause damage to our health in the long term. So taking this habit and ditching it for good could be one of the best health decisions you make. Of course, it’s a decision only you can make yourself.

Embrace sobriety

Drinking alcohol for some can be something you do socially when you are out of the house on a night out. Some will drink quite a bit, and others won’t tolerate too much. But there are some people that could be drinking everyday of the week, perhaps in small or larger quantities. But excessive alcohol can cause damage to our health, and it’s important to understand whether you are drinking too much. Some people really embrace sobriety and others choose to give up midweek drinking, whatever you choose there is plenty of resources available on how to stop drinking that could be life changing.

Increase the amount of water you drink

Water is an excellent resource to boosting your health and wellbeing. Not only can it help rid your body of bad toxins naturally, but it can also improve your mood and energy levels. It can be hard to get into the habit of drinking more water, especially when we have so many options of carbonated and squash drinks. But water is a great way to feel better on the inside, and it can also show on the outside by improving your skin tone and condition.

Cut sugar from your diet completely

Sugar is in most foods these days. You may think it’s as simple as not eating biscuits and chocolates, but you will find sugar in ready meals, in yoghurt and natural sugars in fruit. But sugar can be bad for your health and our teeth, and it is something we can become addicted to without even realising. If you can, try and cut sugar from your diet or at least in the foods you are aware of it in and see how you feel after a few weeks.

I hope this has inspired you to make some small changes that could have a big impact on your health.

Beauty Promises To Make And Keep In 2017

Beauty Promises To Make And Keep In 2017

pexels-photo-305555Image

We made it through the first month of 2017. Resolutions were made, which may or may not be dwindling. But now is the time to settle into a realistic and achievable beauty regime that will yield results.

80/20 Rule

Research shows that goals, objectives, and resolutions often fail because we take on too much too soon. In the first few days or weeks, we’re fired up and feel as though we could take on the world. But very soon our best intentions begin to dwindle. So, rather than going all out and setting unrealistic resolutions and expectations, try the 80/20 rule. The idea is that you eat healthily for roughly 80% of the time but allow yourself the odd treat. Set up a training plan but allow time to relax. Little and often or bit by bit is better than all or nothing. Because if the latter fails, you’re left with nothing.

Establishing Routines And Setting Intentions

It’s important to establish a healthy beauty regime. Even if you have one already, there’s a benefit to reviewing this and making changes. On average it takes around 66 days to form a habit. This varies, depending on the task. When something becomes a habit, this is the point at which is starts to feel automatic.

When establishing your regime, set a plan for the year. Work out what you intend to achieve and by when. If this is the year you decide to go for the plastic surgery you’ve been deliberating, do your research and make the decision. Always opt for board certified experts such as Belcara Health.

Commit To Skincare

Whatever else you do this year, commit to skincare. A simple routine is all it takes to maintain healthy, young-looking skin.

  • Remove your makeup every day without fail
  • Invest in a good moisturizer for your skin type
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Eat well and exercise
  • Quit smoking
  • Wear a suitable SPF sun lotion and protect against harmful rays

A Healthy Smile

One of the easiest beauty commitments is to prioritize dental health. Brush at least twice a day and invest in a good-quality electric toothbrush. The benefits over a manual brush are staggering. Add flossing to your daily regimen. Visit your dentist on a regular basis to fix any problems before they become an issue.

Inner Beauty

As well as investing in cosmetic or external changes, make sure you focus on your inner beauty. Feeling stressed, sleep-deprived, or depressed has a negative impact on your overall health and this all impacts on your appearance. Whereas, feeling alert, relaxed and calm, has the opposite effect. Spend some time this year focusing on how you feel. Cut unnecessary stressors from your life and find strategies to manage anxiety. Take up yoga, meditation or tai chi which will exercise the mind and body.

Now that the year is underway, it’s time to settle down and establish a few sensible beauty regimes. Set achievable and realistic targets and remember the 80/20 rule. Beginning to form new habits will be beneficial over time, and you will begin to notice the changes. So, start now, and your future self will thank you for it.
