Step into The Spirit of Spring

Step into The Spirit of Spring

Now that Spring is firmly in the air you’ll notice people walking around with a little more spring in their step and a smile on their face.  Spring is a sensational season full of optimism and energy.  For this reason, many people use this as an opportunity to get their homes and gardens in order for the sociable summer season ahead of us.

Yet, having a Spring Clean isn’t limited to cleaning and decluttering; there are certain outdoor jobs that have been put off such as repairing the backyard fence panels that need to be tended to now we’re having warmer weather.

Indeed, in addition to sorting your house out for summer it’s equally important to take care of the garden.  In this post, we’re going to look at a number of ways to prepare your house for the sociable summer season.

Spring wouldn’t be Spring without the traditional Spring Clean where we give the house and garden a good going over.  In many ways, there is a science to this process that helps us manage the feeling of overwhelm that comes with having to tackle a whole house (particularly if you have a large family).

The first step is to declutter your home; meaning sorting through your items and working out what you no longer need.  What are you holding onto that no longer serves you?  Go through your wardrobe and determine what clothes can be given away to charity, passed on, or are so well worn they are no longer a feasible option.

If, like most people, you struggle with getting rid of items that hold a particular sentimental value, accept this, and understand that you don’t need to get rid of these items – you just need to declutter your home.  There’s nothing stopping you putting them in an airtight bag and storing them in the loft.  The point is to declutter your home so that you can get

organised.

The second step, is all about getting organised and this isn’t restricted to material items, as this is a great time to go through paperwork and take care of things you’ve been putting off.

The third step, is to thoroughly clean your home.  You might want to consider getting in a professional company to undertake a deep clean (e.g. steam the carpets) or you might prefer to do it yourself and bask in the cathartic emotional release that comes with decluttering, organising, and cleaning your home.

The final thing to consider in terms of sorting your house out for summer is the all important garden.  Winter is a time that pretty much necessitates horticultural neglect whereas now we are coming to Spring, it’s as if the natural world is awakening and coming to life, which has a similar effect on our psyche.

Now, as the days get longer, warmer and brighter, is the time for us to come out of hibernation and start preparing for those all important garden parties, barbecues and picnics on the lawn.

Spring is here and it’s time to get cracking!

Why Being Single Can Be Great

By Guest Blogger, Cathy W.

Why Being Single Can Be Great

Did you go through a rough breakup recently? Maybe you just haven’t met someone, yet. Either way, you’ll be happy to know this isn’t the end.

As a matter of fact, being single can help you become motivated to do things. It can be an extremely enjoyable experience, once you realize all of the fun you can have without a partner there to get in your way. When you’re feeling lonely and down about not being in a relationship, here are a few thoughts you should keep in mind.

Attaining Full Access to Virtually Anything

One of the best aspects of being single is the fact that you get full and total access to the sources of your happiness. Maybe it’s a new episode of your favorite show on television. It comes on every week, and you simply can’t bear to miss it.

As a single person, you won’t have to worry about your partner stealing the remote from you and turning on his own show. After all, you’d probably waited all week long for the episode to air. The last thing you want is to end up missing it altogether.

How about that huge container of ice cream that’s in your freezer? It’s all yours, and you don’t have to share it with anyone. That means it’ll last you for a lot longer, and you’ll even be able to save some money, too.

Discovering Peace and Quiet

If you’re generally a quiet person, being single may suit you exceptionally well. Maybe you don’t mind the extra noise so much, but the constant nagging can certainly get old after a while. It can make you truly long for some peace and quiet.

Not being in a relationship will give you the opportunity to perform activities that require a quiet atmosphere. Meditation is one example. You can meditate in any room at any time of the day without having to worry about being interrupted.

If you’re used to always having someone there with you, this can be like a breath of fresh air. The single life will give you the peace and quiet you desperately crave. What could be better than that?

Moving at Your Own Pace

Another nice aspect about not being in a relationship with someone is that you get to move at your own speed. If you need extra time to get ready before you go out, for instance, you’ve got it. You won’t need to deal with a cranky, impatient partner getting upset with you or rushing you along to finish by a certain time.

Also, you get to decide where you want to go. You won’t have to put up with all those complaints and arguments. No matter how you look at it, it’s a win-win for you each and every time.

Freedom to be Yourself

Being single means you can do whatever you want without the fear of being caught doing it by someone else. Singing in the shower is something you’ve always enjoyed doing, but you’ve become a bit self-conscious about it ever since your partner’s moved in with you. As a single man or woman, you can feel free to sing to your heart’s content without having to worry that you’re being judged for it.

Do you like to dance? Whether you prefer upbeat or slow music, you can dance around inside of your home for as long as you want. The best part about it is that no one will see you doing it.

As you can see, being in a relationship isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. In fact, being single can truly be a blessing in disguise. Who knew that going solo could actually be so much fun?

3 Ingredients Drink Can Help you Get Rid of Migraine in a Minute

3 Ingredients Drink Can Help you Get Rid of Migraine in a Minute

If there is one thing I hate, that is a migraine. I just hate headaches. And I am sure I am not the only one.

There is just something extremely irritating in a migraine you cannot get rid of.

According to statistics, migraines affect almost 40 million Americans. So, chances are, if you do not suffer from constant migraines, one of your friends does.

To help you, and your friends, I will reveal a secret drink that I have found out to help me through the years.

If you want to help your friends, show them and point them to the drink. And always have it on your mind for the next time you suffer from an irritating and painful headache.

Causes for Migraine and Symptoms

If you are constantly suffering from a migraine, you probably already know the symptoms.

But for those who are not familiar with the symptoms, they include numbness, tingling, dizziness, tiredness, nausea and sometimes even vomiting.

Sensitivity to noise, smell and light is a common symptom and accompanies your migraine always.

Migraines can last up to 72 hours, and I am sure you wouldn’t like to suffer as much.

What you also need to know that migraines are often caused by stress and allergies.

However, the main factor contributing to migraines is dehydration and imbalance in your electrolyte levels.

Alcohol, stress, vitamin deficiencies can trigger a migraine, but the cause is always dehydration.

Drinking a lot of water can help you prevent migraines as you will keep your electrolyte at a high level.

One of the most important electrolytes is magnesium, so make sure to get more of that as well.

But if you do get a migraine, it doesn’t hurt to have a quick solution to the problem.

The Drink

Now all you need for this drink is a cup of water, juice from one fresh lemon, and just two teaspoons of sea salt.

The trick here is to use good quality salt, something like Himalayan sea salt for example.

With good salt, lemon juice, and water, you are getting more than 80 different minerals, magnesium included.

Good quality salt also helps you reduce pain and inflammation from a headache, as salt raises serotonin levels.

Mix all the ingredients together, and drink it bottoms up.

I know it is an old folk remedy, and you might be reluctant to use it.

But believe me when I say it, there are many natural and home remedies for almost every disease and illness, and many of them are as effective as traditional medicine or sometimes, even more effective.

And if you do not believe me, think about this for a second.

Do you know what happens when you go to emergency room for a migraine attack?

You get injected with electrolytes.

So why go to the emergency room for electrolytes, when you can make a quick remedy at home or at work?

Four Ways To Fire Up Your Love Life

Four Ways To Fire Up Your Love Life

Whether you’ve been in a marriage for a long time and want to give your love life a boost, or you simply want to revamp the way that you’ve always done things, your libido needs a bit of help. With work being so busy, raising a family and having an actual social life, there’s always an excuse not to reconnect with a lover behind bedroom doors. There are so many things that you can do to boost your libido so that you can get your sex life back on the right tracks that it’s always been on.

Exhaustion, stress and a lack of time can really affect the sex life of a couple, but sex is such an important way to connect on a level that is more than friends and more than just partners. It’s a mind, body and soul connection and when you’re too tired, it’s like someone has hung up the phone and the line is broken. Getting that line back up takes time and a loss of sex drive is only a problem if you believe that it is. Don’t panic though; there are plenty of things that you can do to boost it back up and get those bedroom fires burning again.

Sleep. This may seem like a counterproductive way to get your sex life back but burning the candle at both ends can really take a toll on your sex life. Testosterone has a big role in the male libido and a lack of sleep can reduce the levels of testosterone in you. Extracts like Tongkat Ali can help you to get your testosterone levels back up again. Try not to sleep less than 5 hours a night, regardless, as this is not healthy!

Eat. Everyone knows the sensuality in bringing food into the bedroom, but did you know that there are certain foods that are an aphrodisiac? Figs, bananas, chocolate and avocados are such aphrodisiacs, as are oysters and wine. These all provide the right minerals and vitamins for your health.

Confidence. Sometimes, confidence – or lack of it – is a big passion killer. If you don’t have confidence within yourself, you won’t feel in the mood and you can doubt your own attraction. No one can tell you how you can get rid of the low self-esteem, but you can shift the focus from your own worries to the things that you like about yourself and blow those up in your mind.

Sobriety. A big reason for a flop in the bedroom is too much alcohol or the overuse of drugs. By going sober, you can remove the toxins and chemicals from your system and be the au natural being that you want to be!

Getting the fire back in the bedroom is going to take some time, but if you take a moment to work out what is going wrong and communicate with your partner, you can move forward and slide back into that healthy sex routine you’ve always enjoyed.

Benefits of Black Seed Oil

By Tia Cristy

Benefits of Black Seed Oil

It’s known as a cure-all or black cumin. Black Seed Oil comes in a liquid or pill form, as well as mild or extra-strength. It has been known to make people feel brand-new overall. But really, what is Black Seed Oil?

What is Black Seed Oil?

Black Seed Oil is the result of pressing the seed of the Nigella Sativa plant. It has been used in Asia and Middle Eastern countries for centuries to heal the body inside and outside. The oil is safe to take internally or to place on the skin topically. Rumor has it, princesses throughout history used the oil as a daily moisturizer to remain youthful.

Uses of the Oil

The Black Seed oil has been found to reduce blood-pressure, so if you already have low blood-pressure you may want to use this oil topically. Always consult with your doctor when starting natural supplements. However, the side effects of Black Seed oil are next to nothing. Some have developed rashes. But there haven’t been major issues reported. Other healing benefits have been reducing wrinkles, healing scars, antibacterial properties, etc. Then, upon further investigation Black Seed oil has been used to treat viruses, disease, STD’s, resistant bacterial infections, liver issues, cancer, diabetes, stomach issues, hair loss issues and MRSA. It has reduced symptoms of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and many neurological aliments. And on top of it all, it is a big promoter in weight-loss.

Have I Seen a Difference?

I started using the oil topically to see if I had any reactions first. It has a pleasant odor and absorbs fairly quickly into the skin. It feels silky, not greasy. I had extremely dry hands from a cold-harsh winter. I had used several of my go-to oil fixes and was only getting relief for a couple hours at a time. I decided to try a dab of the Black Seed on my hands. I have been problem-free for days after one treatment. Bonus, my hands still feel incredible. I started using it on my face only three-days ago, and I’m already happy with the results. We all know summer or winter months can be harsh on the largest organ. I’m feeling confident, I will continue to be happy with the results.

Can You Stop Taking Black Seed?

After all the research that I’ve done on those that use the oil, they have stopped the oil at one point or another for only a short period of time. It’s totally safe to stop. However, after a few months missed the positive reaction of Black Seed Oil and returned to taking the supplement again. (especially around Allergy Season)

If you are thinking about taking Black Seed as a daily health supplement, it’s recommended to start with the mild. If you are hoping to take it as a therapy, please discuss with your doctor on the dosage they recommend. If you need more information on dosage or Black Seed oil, contact The Blessed Seed.
