3 Alternative Date Ideas that Definitely Aren’t Dinner and Drinks

3 Alternative Date Ideas that Definitely Aren’t Dinner and Drinks

Dating is a minefield and sometimes the thought of going out for yet another average Italian just doesn’t inspire romance. There may be no ‘right’ way to make a connection with someone new but if you are looking to make a real bond, the old dating clichés might not be for you.

Whether you get nervous standing at a bar trying not to drink your wine too fast or you need to inject a bit more excitement into a fledgling relationship, here are a few alternative dating ideas that might just set the romance alight.

The Escape Room

Getting locked into a room and solving puzzles to escape isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but there’s a reason that this sort of thing is loved by corporations as a team building exercise. Escape rooms are all about communicating and learning about each other. This is your prime time to show off your skills and compliment your partner on their capabilities too.

The other great benefit of doing an escape room is that you don’t need to start thinking up topics to talk about – the material is all there and you will naturally chat about other stuff while you work towards your freedom.

Mini Golf

There are few things in life that bring as much joy as mini golf. You don’t have to be good at it – in fact, the worse you are the more fun you are going to have. There are plenty of mini golf courses around and lots now come with different themed rooms so you can set the tone.

If you want to take things up a notch, try creating challenges for each other like predicting the score for the round or attempting this hole standing backwards. The more ridiculous you make your challenges the funnier it will get. Let your imagination run wild!

Life Drawing Class

Drawing a naked person might not be the best place to chat incessantly but if you are shy then the quiet atmosphere is a good place to do some surreptitious judging of your partner. How they respond to the class and the way that they draw will tell you a lot about each other, even if you are useless and your partner turns out to be the next Leonardo da Vinci.

Taking a class together will also give you a natural topic to discuss later on or on future dates. This is the perfect time to find out how they appreciate the human body and what could be in store later…

Dating should be a fun way to get to know someone new and should never be a chore. If you want to bring out the best side of someone, finding an activity where you can both participate without worrying about having to look nice while eating spaghetti is often the way forward. Pick something you already love doing or go out on a limb and try something new. It’s time to break away from a series of dull dinners and start living life to the full.

5 Fun Ways to Keep the Spark Alive in Your Relationship

5 Fun Ways to Keep the Spark Alive in Your Relationship

If you want to maintain a close relationship with your spouse, you need to work on strengthening your bond and making memories together every single day.

While you might love your partner deeply, those fluttering butterflies in your stomach can soon disappear. However, it is possible to make sure each day is better than the last. Check out the five fun ways to keep the spark alive in your relationship.

  1. Show Your Appreciation

It’s essential to acknowledge all the big and small things your partner does for you. To do so, you should routinely try to show your appreciation, which will make him or her feel both valued and loved.

For example, you could buy your spouse a gift, cook their favorite meal, or book a romantic dinner at an elegant restaurant. You can guarantee your partner will also appreciate the effort you have made to express your gratitude.

  1. Make Memories Together

It doesn’t matter if you have been with your other half for one year or 20 years, every day will provide you and your spouse with an opportunity to make wonderful memories together.

You can create memorable moments by jumping out of a plane in tandem, exploring a new city together, or singing your hearts out at a concert. Find the perfect event, activity, or attraction for both you and your partner at Ticket Sale.

  1. Try to Be Spontaneous

It can be easy to settle into a routine once you have been with your partner for a number of years. As a result, your daily life together can become almost predictable, which could drain the romance from your relationship. For this reason, you should try to be spontaneous when possible.

Therefore, you need to plan themed evenings, randomly take your partner on a date, or do something surprising that will make your other half smile from ear-to-ear. It can help to prevent you both from falling into a monotonous routine, which can stop you from falling into a relationship rut.

  1. Set a Date Night

It doesn’t matter how busy your professional or personal lives are, you must regularly make time for a date night. Don’t become complacent in your relationship and enjoy some quality time together. For example, set time aside to regularly book dinner at a luxury restaurant, go to the movies, or enjoy drinks at a sleek bar.

  1. Book a Vacation

Work and personal responsibilities can often stand in the way of a healthy relationship. A vacation will, however, provide you both with an opportunity to spend 24 hours a day together for a whole week or more.

Each day will offer quality conversation, fun attractions, and spontaneous adventures, which can shake up your routine and make you fall deeper in love with your other half. Book a stay at a tropical resort, explore a new city together, or camp out in the wilderness. It could help you to keep the spark permanently alive in your relationship.

The Art of Turning Your Backyard into an Outdoor Living Space

By Guest Blogger, Kevin J.

The Art of Turning Your Backyard into an Outdoor Living Space

How many times do you look out at the sunny day and wish you had an outdoor space that was more usable? Whether you have a large backyard or one that is simple, small and enclosed, we’re willing to bet that it is under-used, so what can be done to make it more usable?

We have taken a look at three excellent ideas that will encourage you to make more use of the outdoors, and what could be better than enjoying the sun in your own personal outdoor living space? So, here are our ideas – start with these, and you’ll soon have a great outdoor living space that you can enjoy to the fullest.

Lay a Deck

All the rage at the moment – and with good reason – decking should be the first thing you consider if you want to transform your outdoor space into a viable living area. You might think it expensive, but in fact it is one of the most cost-effective methods of bringing alive an outdoor area. Whether you have a simple courtyard-type space or a larger garden area, a decking space either attached to the house or in a separate part of the yard has many advantages: it is easy to keep clean, rainwater drains from it, and will be a great place with heaters installed for use in even the winter evenings.

You can install decking yourself – there are many videos online that tell you how – but we strongly recommend that you check out local providers as a professional job will give you better results, and you may be surprised how affordable it will be.

Add a Gazebo

The sun is beautiful, warm – and dangerous! Even with ultra-levels of sun screen on your skin, it’s still possible to get too much sun, and if you’re one of those people who suffer from the heat, some shade is always welcome. So, in addition to your beautiful new deck, why not add a gazebo?

These affordable and very practical items take the form of an open-sided tent – although there are many you can buy with optional side screens for protection against the wind – and are easy to set up and take down. So, you can choose whether you want to have a permanent gazebo or one that can be used only when necessary, and there are some surprisingly attractive models on the market, too. It’s worth having a look around at the different sizes, and perhaps picking one that covers a portion of your deck and leaves the rest open to the sun.

Build a Fire Pit

Great for those evenings in the fall when the nights become a little cooler, a fire pit is an excellent addition to your back yard. It’s one for the adults, of course, but keep the kids at a safe distance and they can enjoy it too. It’s easy to do: clear a nice flat area – preferably close to your decking so you get the full effect – and build a circular wall with bricks. It’s best to cement them in place if you want it to be a decent one.

Leave a few holes in the wall for the air to get through and build it to a sensible height so that you can drop wood in – and you have a great fire pit for added warmth on cooler nights, meaning your outdoor space is more usable than ever!

These are just a few of the ideas we came up with for making your outdoor space more usable, and we reckon there are many more, so make up a list and you’ll soon enjoy the backyard more than you ever thought you could.

Natural Skin Care Essentials

Natural Skin Care Essentials

Ever since ancient times, women have taken care of their bodies and had their own skin care routines. Certainly, beauty products have evolved and, in spite of that, women still stick to the organic and natural skin care products. So, we’ve singled out a couple of natural go-to essentials you might want to try.

Channel your inner Cleopatra

For the ultimate glowing skin, dare to use some old tricks that one of the best-known women in history adored. It’s no secret that Cleopatra loved to take baths in donkey milk in order to preserve her youth and beauty. It is believed that milk rejuvenates the skin and gives it a healthy radiance. The Egyptian goddess also liked to rinse her face with apple cider vinegar, and she used the luxurious combination of milk and honey as a facial mask. Milk and honey are beneficial in many ways, since they contain antibacterial properties that hydrate and clean impurities. Honey serves to moisturize the skin, while milk exfoliates it. You can easily make a DIY mask by mixing these two ingredients, and applying it on dry areas. Rinse after ten minutes, and repeat this royal treatment a few times a week. Also, honey seems to be an excellent choice for healing your flaky lips. Before you go to bed, coat your lips with a light layer of honey and you’ll wake up with softer and more kissable lips.

Rose water- yes, please!

As romantic as it sounds, it’s made from water and rose petals. This magical beauty potion has gained popularity among many women today, and it can be used regularly as a face cleanser. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, rose water reduces the skin irritations and shrinks the clogged pores. Also, there’s a rose water toner you could use after removing your makeup, which will leave your skin perfectly smooth and refreshed.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, can I eat ’em all?

What’s more beautiful than the beauty itself? An edible beauty in the form of different food for glowing skin. That’s right, you’ve heard well. The newest trend of healthy treats with beauty benefits has emerged, and we are happy to share the good news. Finally, we can eat raw chocolate without feeling guilty, and plus it’s vegan and it keeps our skin healthy. You could also include certain puddings and mousses in your diet, as they leave your skin hydrated and soft. I think I’ve found my latest obsession, how about you?

Cocoa & Shea Butter body lotion

Regardless the season, you must always nourish your skin to keep it safe from losing elasticity and firmness. There are plenty of softening lotions that deserve a spotlight, but this one’s a real gem. It moisturizes the damaged skin, and it should be included as a part of your daily routine. It’s also good for the body parts we like to neglect like elbows, knees and heels. It smoothens and nourishes even the driest parts and it smells amazing, too.

Fruit infused water

I guess we don’t have to tell you how hydration is important for your entire body. If you’re not hydrated enough, your whole body suffers. It happens very often that people forget to drink water over the day, or even worse, they drink it only when they’re thirsty. To make drinking water fun and tasty, you can jam pack your favorite juicy fruit combinations in a glass bottle, and enjoy your flavored water.

Bentonite clay does wonders

Regardless of your skin type, you could use a bentonite clay mask as a part of your daily beauty regime. Make a mask by mixing one teaspoon of water and one teaspoon of clay to get a thick paste. Optionally, add a drop of an apple cider vinegar and mix it altogether. Apply the mask on your face and neck, avoiding the under eye area. Wait for 30 minutes, rinse it with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel. Repeat this process 3 times a week and you’ll notice how your skin gets smoother and fresh.

Remaining young and fresh is what every woman today dreams of, and with these natural products be sure you could prolong your beauty and health in the easiest way possible.

What is acne and how is it formed?

By Guest Blogger Erick B.

What is acne and how is it formed?

Acne is a common problem among teenagers and many adults. Acne is primarily caused due to inflammation where build-up of sebum or oil on our skin occurs. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands that are located at the hair follicles. When there is a collection of sebum on the face, it attracts dirt and grime. If the hair follicles are closed, it leads to a whitehead. And if the hair follicles are open, oxidation occurs and it results in forming a blackhead. When bacteria enters these follicles and cause inflammation, it causes acne.

Who gets acne and why?

Our skin produces more sebum when the body has more testosterone. This happens when we hit puberty and therefore, acne occurs more during puberty. However, some factors such as stress, a high-carb diet, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a very dry skin and pollution can also cause acne in adults.

How can you control acne at home?

Acne can be treated and controlled by simple home remedies such as applying white toothpaste on the breakouts, applying tea tree oil or frankincense oil, using aloe vera gel, application of ice pack and consuming a healthy, well-balanced diet.
