HOW TO STAY HEALTHY WITH A HECTIC SCHEDULE

You have kids to look after and workload to deal with; I get how busy life is! You might not even be able to take out two minutes for yourself, let alone planning out a proper diet chart and heading out to the gym. However, we need to understand how important it is to relax the body and mind and to look after our health more than anything else, while this seems nearly impossible for some.

I have gathered a few simple steps following which you can achieve better physical and mental health without putting too much time or efforts into them. So, read through and thank me later:

  1. Keep a Fruit Basket on the Table

Keeping the fruit basket on your table benefits you greatly and saves the fruit from getting bad and wasted. Your dining table is the most accessible place where you your meals and keeping a fruit bowl on it means easy access to a healthy snack. You can always pick your favorite fruit from the basket and carry it with you while heading out too.

  1. Keep a Water Bottle with You

Water intake is highly important and yet many of us don’t drink it enough just because it is not around. Keeping a water bottle with you all the time will increase your intake greatly. Squeezing a lemon into it can be even more beneficial for detoxification of the body. Make sure you carry the bottle around with you and finish it twice. This will not only keep your body hydrated but also benefit your skin greatly, flushing all the harmful toxins out of the body.

  1. Get in Bed with No Gadgets Nearby

Phones and other gadgets can be a great distraction from getting a good sleep, especially when you are a workaholic. We all know how important a good night’s sleep is and major problems like anxiety, indigestion and lack of focus are a caused by lack of proper sleep. Therefore, I would suggest you to power off your gadgets before you head to bed. Also, keeping a good full-body massage chair in your home and spending 15 minutes on it before you head to bed can improve your sleep and relax your mind greatly. Doing so will also relieve you of the stress that relates to your work or family.

  1. Never Skip Breakfast

No matter how much hurry you are in, do not skip breakfast. Breakfast is the main meal which keeps you up and running throughout the day without getting tired, lazy and stressed out. Have some quick and healthy options at hand for breakfast like fresh juice, fruit, oats and Greek yoghurt.

  1. Quick Morning Exercise

Instead of rushing to the bathroom as you wake up, get out of bed and warm your body up a little with a quick workout. Make sure you set your alarm for 15 minutes earlier than you are supposed to wake up. This way, your body will be much more active and your mind refreshed throughout the day.
