But it’s not just about fight the appearance of aging. It’s also about fighting the plights of old age that physically hold you back from living. And one thing that can hold you back during your twilight years is bad eye health. Aging can have a detrimental impact on eyesight, and you shouldn’t allow for your eyesight to be changed in this way. A way to do this is to make changes to your diet.
By opting for cereals that are ravished in whole grain. By choosing foods that are a good source of protein. And by cooking in a way that makes any fats you consume as healthy as can be. By implementing these three aspects into your diet, you will be doing all you can to fight the plight of old age that is bad eye health.
Another key to staving off the feeling of aging is to stay social. You don’t have to retreat into your own home, avoiding contact with others. (Well, at least after the pandenic is over.) Instead of introverting, try to stay as social as possible. Laughing with your friends brings youth. Community and group spirit can work wonders for the soul! This is evident right into the depths of old age – groups such as Seniors Helping Seniors go to show just how positive bonding with others and helping others where you can is for your health, happiness and wellbeing.

While your health is important regardless of your age, there comes a point where you start to feel “your age”, whether it’s in the mornings, after you’ve eaten something your body doesn’t really agree with, or if you decide to go for a run after a long time! Health should be a priority but it’s not in your thirties; you’re busy, you’ve got a career, a marriage or a partner, or you may have children, and how you look after yourself at this crucial stage can impact the rest of your life. With this in mind, what’s the best way to ensure that you start these practices now so you feel the benefits long into the future?
Have A Good Relationship With Your Doctor
It doesn’t mean you need to book an appointment every time you have a sniffle, but your thirties is when you need to start going for screenings and tests. Whether it’s a mole scan, high blood pressure, diabetes, or even heart disease checks, it’s time to start booking these appointments. If you have a family history of a specific ailment, like high blood pressure or cancer, you need to start looking at preventing this. As well as this, it’s worth checking that everything is okay in your body, by getting blood tests just to check everything is in tip-top shape.
Learning How To Sleep Properly
It’s not a practice that you should put off anymore! While in your twenties you may have spent a lot of time burning the candle at both ends, now is the time to learn how to sleep well, with quality over quantity. Learning how to get proper sleep every night is essential, especially if you continue to wake up in the morning feeling like you haven’t slept. Sometimes there is a very logical reason; you may have been up with the children, or you feel stressed. But this is why you need to figure out how to get good quality sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep it won’t just make you feel tired, but it impacts every other area of your life and could increase your risk of illnesses and even heart disease.
Learning To Calm Down
Stress may have been something you took in your stride when you were younger, but now there are so many areas of your life that seem overwhelming, that if you’re not careful, it can age you terribly, but also put you into this heightened state of tension. Learning to calm down isn’t difficult, but what is difficult is making it a part of your daily life. Because stress is one of those major epidemics now, finding ways to relax is something that needs to be part of who you are. Much like we have to eat and sleep, we have to find time to relax. Everybody has their own ways of calming down, whether it’s through something spiritual like yoga or meditation or getting away from it all, even for 10-minutes, minimizing your stress will maximize your chances of a healthier life.
Get The Right Balance
Your thirties could be a time when everything comes together; your career, your relationships, and your life. This means that getting the balance right can be difficult. As such, if you don’t fix it, this leaves you open for a lot of stress. Spinning many plates means that you aren’t getting the benefit of what you are doing right now, but at the same time, no one is getting the best of you. Look at making significant inroads in your life, whether this is in terms of work-life balance, or understanding where you need to let things go. Striking the balance means that everybody will get the best of you but also, you will enjoy everything so much more. While you might have spent most of your twenties looking for the perfect career, it’s important to remember that it isn’t everything. Life is about that balance.
Just Eat Your Vegetables!
It’s obvious, but do you really eat plenty? Being healthy isn’t too difficult, but while everybody has their own opinion of what the healthiest practice is, whether it’s the keto diet, going vegan, or fasting, the important thing is that you listen to your body. Vegetables contain vitamins, minerals, and fiber. If you want to feel better, eat plenty of these! But also, have a little bit of what you fancy! Because we can spend a lot of time worrying about eating the wrong thing, when we should really be listening to our body reacts in the first place, this is how we can make the most of our diet. Some people have an intolerance to a specific foodstuff, and if you want to feel better, just get rid of this particular item! It’s not difficult these days, especially as everybody is on a million different diets! But naturally, you eat a little bit more in the way of vegetables, you’re going to be getting more vitamins and minerals into your body, and you will feel much better.
Don’t Neglect Your Friendships
Social health is as important as your physical and mental health. As you get older, you start to drift away from the people you grew up with, and it seems that while you make new friends, you can feel a bit sad that the remnants of your old life have turned into relics. Spending time with the people that matter isn’t just a way for you to keep in contact with close friends, but it is healthy! Feeling connected can boost your immune system, and can minimize chronic illnesses when you get older. In your thirties, being busy has a major impact on your friendships, but if you could find time to talk on the phone with them, go for a coffee, and these little, but beneficial practices, everyone will feel better.
As you get older, things can come into focus, but we can also begin to truly feel our age. Health is not just about eating well, but it’s about remembering that we need to feel happy within ourselves. We all have our own perception of happiness and as we go through our thirties, we can start to see what really matters, and also find the right practices that will set us up for the rest of our days.

When you were a kid, you almost pictured how you’d look, behave, work, and feel when you were well into your life as a fully-functioning adult. When your mind wasn’t occupied with the latest fad, you thought about how everything would go. You got a more vivid idea of things during your adolescence because you began growing into it all. But now you’re well into your life as a competent and accomplished grown-up, and you’re now at the stage where you need to live the life that you pictured years ago.
Obviously, a human being is only ever as old as he or she feels, but the prime of life really spans between twenty and forty years of age. Yes, you can pick specific ages if you’d like to be pedantic, but we’re going with some nice round numbers here. This space of time is when you’re at the peak of your physical, mental, and social powers, traditionally, so you’ve got to make the most of them, right? It would be a shame to see a wonderful human like yourself waste these years. If you want to really ensure that your prime really is your prime, then let’s look at things you should do.
Eat Good
Inhaling all of the takeaway food and junk food is nice, but it should be something you do all of the time. If you want to be at the peak of your physical powers, you have got to feed your body with the good stuff. You learn about a balanced diet and all of the good foods when you’re little – now it’s time to put what you learned into practice! We’re not saying you should be an Olympic level athlete, but do yourself a favor and keep yourself in top shape.
Exercise
Again, you don’t need to be an Olympian. Just doing a few bits of exercise that will get your heart rate up a few times a week should be good enough. Keeping active won’t only maintain your physical prowess, but it’ll also benefit you mentally. When you work out, your brain releases all kinds of happy chemicals that make you feel so much more confident and positive. Trust me, you’ll want that confidence and spirit at this age.
Visit Doctor Regularly
This is something you should do, whether you’re at a prime age or not. A lot of people fear going to the doctor for a multitude of reasons. Maybe they’re just too shy. Perhaps they feel as though they’re burdening the doc. Maybe they just couldn’t be bothered. Don’t be like those people. If something’s up, you should get it checked. It could be something severe, or maybe you’ll just be prescribed some medication and told to buy some Listen Lively hearing aids. Whatever the outcome, you’ll be glad you went and got whatever problem you had sorted.
Be As Sociable As You Can
Being around others, especially those you love, will also boost you – mentally and physically. People need to have that comradery for their own sanity, so make sure you spend a lot of time with your friends and family. Solitary confinement during your twenties and thirties would be a super sad existence.

As we grow older we acquire many applaudable attributes. We’re wiser, smarter, and more grateful for everything that we have. But one thing that doesn’t age quite as well are our looks. When we’re young we have everything on our side, but as time goes on things tend to turn on us somewhat, and we can sometimes end up looking not as attractive as we’d like. However, that doesn’t mean we have to give up on our looks. In the 21st century there is no excuse for us to not look out best, regardless of how old we are! Here’s how.
Yup, you might have noticed that you don’t look quite as youthful as you once did. But think about it: when we’re young, we’re always running around, being active, regular men and women about town. As we age, we become more sedentary. If you want to stay youthful and beautiful, you should take up an exercise routine that’s right for you, one that’ll have your face looking fresh and your body look good. You’ll be glowing, basically, and everyone’s drawn to someone who glows!
Science Has the Answer
Of course, even if we work out as often as we want to we sometimes can’t mask some factors that we’d rather live without. If you can’t shift weight in one particular part of your body (you can’t, unfortunately, target weight loss when you work), you can always use a service like GastroCenter’s Smart Lipo treatments and trim away the fat in those areas where the fat is hard to shift. Similarly, if your issue is hair loss – which affects around 50% of women and 80% of men during their life times – then you can look at consulting a hair transplant specialist and add some extra hair to boost a youthful look.
Being a Fashionista
There comes an age where we kind of slip out of the trend scene, where we’re not too sure what’s hot and what’s not. It makes sense, especially as we have so many other things going on in our lives. However, staying abreast of the clothes that’ll make us look at our best actually isn’t all that difficult – dedicate some time to reading the best clothing blogs for older people before you go shopping and you’ll look great when you return from the stores.
Living Well
Of all the things we can do, few affect our beauty greater than our lifestyles. If we eat well and don’t drink too much alcohol, we can carry on staying youthful for longer. If we live the lifestyle of a 25 year old, we won’t. Take care of yourself and you’ll naturally stay youthful and beautiful.
Accepting Who You Are
Of course, you can’t fix every single ailment. At some point you’ll need to learn to accept some of the flaws that can’t be fixed. Part of being beautiful is having confidence, and if you have confidence then people will notice it. Sometimes it’s much more about our attitude to ourselves and life than we think!
