When your hair looks greasy, but you have no time to wash it. Easy and quick tip. Grab the cornstarch! Cornstarch will absorb the grease out of your hair and leave it looking clean and ready.

First pour some into your hand, rub hands together and shake off excess. Then stroke through your hair starting from scalp up the shaft. Repeat until the white of the powder is unnoticeable.  The final look should be soft and natural. Your hair should feel clean and ready to style. (SIDE NOTE: Cornstarch should not block pores, but if method is used repeatedly without washing hair in between, it can eventually dry the scalp)

One of the biggest mistakes people make with skin care is not using sun protection on hazy days. Even if the sun isn’t shining, be sure to put on an SPF with UVA.

Those sun rays are still beaming through the clouds and have the potential to give a deep burn, without noticing until it’s too late.

One of the worst burns I ever got was on the beach on a cloudy, cold day. So, be careful and wear your SPF. If you’re on a beach or an open area, wearing a hat to help keep those rays at bay, can help. And, wearing sunglasses in the haze, can protect your eyes from those dangers, as well.

Before you head out to the hardware store, try this tip. Put olive oil on a cotton ball, and rub it along the hinges.

Open and close the door repeatedly to allow the oil to get into the hinges. And, that should take care of that pesky squeak.

Okay so normally I would answer a question today, but I was at a block party the other day and someone next to me asked his friend,”How do you get rid of the head, from the beer, dude?”

Amazing that they were standing next to me, because I was able to quickly reply a great tip.

So, if you pour a beer into a glass or cup and, the head foams up to give you a beer stache. (kegs can produce a lot of foam) Take your finger, rub it on the side of your nose and dip that finger into the beer and stir. The foam will start to disappear.

Even the slightest oils from your skin, break it down, so no more foam to inhale before taking your first sip.

You know when you’re in a hurry, it seems like it takes 10 times longer to dry your hair. A quick tip that actually does work, even though it may sound strange is, let your hair air dry.

For only about 5 minutes, let the air pull the moisture out, while running your fingers through it every so often. This can reduce the dry time significantly.

So take that time to put on your make-up or make that cup of coffee. Then return to your hair drying routine.

When doing laundry, there are times you find the mystery button or safety pin that made it through the laundry cycle. So, what do you do? Usually, put if off to the side and you’ll try to comeback for it later.

But in some cases, by the time you do, it can’t be found. Trigger a clutter free laundry area, with using a small decorative bowl, glass, candy dish or basket.

This allows one to be able to have a place for loose change or anything else that hasn’t been cleared out of the pockets of your laundered clothes, and will then be in one place, to be found again when needed.

Have you said, “I don’t know where I got that bruise”? Do you bruise easily? Or, have you just started noticing little bruises on your knees, legs and arms? Did you talk to your doctor and you appear to be in fine health, otherwise?

Some may say, “oh it’s no big deal, its just a few bruises. I get them all the time,”. That could be true, but sometimes the body gives you warning signs, about the smallest of it’s needs.

Bruising could be a sign that you are missing nutrients. Try ingesting some more calcium with Vitamin D. And, reduce your bruising by eating pineapple.

Having smooth legs at the beach is a desire, but shaving the day of, can cause some serious discomfort. The sand and salt water can cause razor burn to freshly shaven legs.

A good tip is too, shave the night before you hit the beach. If it’s a spontaneous event, try using an electric razor. You may not get a close shave, but your legs will appear to be hair free and reduce your chances of beach razor burn.
