Problem: Hey Tia! I was planning a “romantic” trip to the beach, but a friend told me not to do it. She said getting sand in places can cause problems. Do you have a tip to prevent that?

Tip from Tia: Hi, thanks for the question and for reading! Yes, your friend is absolutely correct. Getting sand in certain areas can wreak havoc on your balance for a long time causing reoccurring infections. When it comes to sex, you must always take responsibility, and way the heat of the moment, to the consequences.

This irritation can happen just from laying out. But, engaging in certain activities, can push sand into areas. And, if you’ve ever been in the sand, you already know, it gets everywhere.

Prevention is to keep parts covered. But…

If you get off balance from sand and sea, correcting from the inside out is the best way to go. Be sure to drink plenty of water, stay away from things with high sugar content and add in a pro-biotic.

Take a clove oil bath, 6-10 drops of oil in a bath is good. (IMPORTANT: Clove is powerful and can burn if use on it’s own. Be sure to always mix clove oil with water or another carrier oil like olive oil) Soak for at least 10 minutes to try and re-balance your chemistry. Clove is anti-bacterial,  antimicrobial and anti-fungal. Take a soak everyday, for several days to see full results. Do not use if you are allergic to cloves or if you find you become irritated by using the clove oil.

Contact your doctor immediately for further help, if symptoms don’t clear up or you are having serious issues.

The beach may sound romantic, but I would stick to the cocktail on the beach if it’s permitted, and go get your romance (“romance” isn’t usually permitted on the beach) elsewhere; a place with less chance to off balance your body. But, it’s just my opinion.

Stupid Tip of the Day: People Can’t Change.

You’ve heard the sayings, “A leopard can’t change it’s spots” or “a Tiger can’t change it’s stripes”. Okay, but the one that is really not true is, “A person can’t change”.

People aren’t animals. People can evolve with their attitudes, emotions, mentality, spirituality and even physically. Change is inevitable for humans.

If a person continues to behave in a way that is unacceptable, and you think, a person will never change, it’s actually an individual being stubborn according to scientific studies. As a person, we desire and welcome positive changes in our lives and patterns. A person that refuses to change their patterns, is actually working really hard to stay that way; instead of allowing themselves a natural positive progression of life.

Example, a person of a younger age is able to stay up, be out all night, still work an 8 hour day the next day and attempt to go out again that following night. A person fighting the aging process will try to do the same thing and become extremely irritable and possibly make it through the night, but have to call out of work the next day. Even if they can make it through the event, their bodies can’t keep up. The change is inevitable. Don’t allow yourself to fall victim of the mid-life crisis.

Another example, a young adult can make one thing their number one priority. Yet, after life experiences and changes; their priorities are inevitably going to change because they, themselves have inevitably changed.

If you or someone you know has been labeled as lazy, greedy, a liar, selfish, petty, a thief, a cheater, a gossip, mean, childish, etc. there is always an opportunity for change. These are not personalities, but have become habits, and habits can be broken if desired.

So, if you find yourself in a rut or self-esteem has taken a hit; remember it will change and so will you. Let changes build your character, not crush it. And, if you have been labeled as a person the will never change, stop being stubborn and make a conscious decision to grow in life. It’s natural to evolve and change in a positive way.

Being Negative, Can Trigger Negativity, Tips on Triggers:

Have you ever made a negative comment and noticed it effected the people around you to become negative too? It’s contagious. Though you may not have meant to change the mood, it can instantly happen. The conversations can quickly snowball into negativity. Doing this too frequently can cause a long term negative outlook on your life, which can result in depression and other mental aliments.

So if you find your self having a negative thought or saying a negative comment, try to follow it up quickly with a positive response or thought. For example, “This weather sucks!” follow it up with something like, “I was so glad I didn’t need to stop for gas today to get to work, that was great!” or “Look at the way that person is dressed!” follow it up with something kind like “but, I really like those shoes. I’ll have to go shoe shopping soon.” Doing this will help you be less negative, yourself and to help the mood of those around you.

Even though negativity is contagious, remember so is happiness. Force yourself to have a positive outlook and soon, it won’t have to be forced.

Stupid Tip of the Day: Just Because You’re on a Diet, Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Look at the Menu.

This is the stupidest tip, I’ve ever heard, Those that give this tip, should be slapped. And those that follow it, should be tied down and slapped harder. (Hitting is never appropriate; I know) If you haven’t noticed, the obesity and divorce rates are at and all time high, thanks to a tip like this, being used literally and metaphorically.

Have you ever heard of this situation… Even if the wealthiest man, believes he is deprived, he will commit actions, to self sabotage all that he has, and end up miserable. Yet, a poor man, who is grateful for all that he has, will receive more that is satisfying, and find happiness in his life.

I’m going to keep this simple, because the truth really is this simple. Don’t look. The truth is, be satisfied with what you have, providing you with health and happiness.

The foods you’re eating on a specific diet, are keeping you healthy and probably helping you lose or maintain a goal weight and seeing those results, will make you happy.

If the person you are in a relationship with, is probably, most of the time, making you happy; And staying faithful, that is keeping you healthy. See, Sex as a Fountain of Youth?

If either, your diet or relationship has become dull; spice it up, with what you’ve already got.

The only thing that comes from looking at menus, that you shouldn’t be looking at, is, seeing something that may look good, building it in your mind that you have to have it, getting it, but it’s never as good, as you’d expect. All that it is going to do, is bring you is an unhealthy, upset stomach, that will make you very unhappy and very sick, in the long run. Stick to your own menu, you’ll be grateful and appreciate yourself, that you did.

Tips on Triggers: Relieve Stress.

Of Course, there are many methods of relieving stress, and here is just another quick response area, to relieve stress swiftly.

Massage firmly above the breasts, yet below the collar bone, on the chest with your fists, in a circular motion. Move the radius of motion, towards the center out towards the arm pit. This will loosen the muscles, while it relieves stress and push toxins towards the glands, for release from the body.
