Uh, it’s approaching that time of the month again, where you dread the pain and everything which comes with your menstrual cycle. What if we told you it doesn’t have to be a horror story, but instead, a reason to relax and enjoy being a woman. Pamper yourself


During our menstrual cycle, there’s no denying it can be hard to get on with life as normal. As we get on with daily duties, it’s important to make yourself feel good when you have spare time. The more you relax, the more in control you are; try listening to your favourite music, read a book or meditate. If you have the spare coin, you could even go for a spa treatment with a friend, or get your partner to give you a massage at home. Soak in a bubble bath and let your muscles unwind. You can do all these things either before or during your period.


Exercise regularly


If you keep up with a weekly exercise routine, this will have huge benefits to how you experience your period. Exercising affects your hormone levels and ultimately reduces menstrual pain, which is what we want! It may feel painful to exercise while on your period, but it has so many benefits. Just remember, don’t feel like you need to be clean constantly as this will create compulsive and unhealthy behaviour. Try not to think about it


You probably think this is easier said than done, but if you take your mind off your menstrual cycle, you’ll feel a lot more relaxed, and the pain will seem less severe. Constantly dwelling about something draws more attention to it and always seems ten times worse than it actually is. Whether you do some work from home, research for an important college assignment or just watching a thought-provoking movie, keeping your mind busy is the key!
