Christmas Calamities: Your Festive Problems Solved

Christmas Calamities: Your Festive Problems Solved

(image)

Christmas, that most wonderful time of the year… and one of the most stressful! To make sure your festivities go without a hitch, we have compiled a list of common festive woes, with some tips on how to solve them. Consider it our present to you!

The fairy lights aren’t working

We are sure you have been here before. You string your festive lights around your home and the Christmas tree, turn on the switch with high expectations and…nothing! Chances are, it’s only one bulb that is causing the issue, but when that blows, so does your indoor winter wonderland.

Tip: Buy encapsulated LED lights as they don’t have any troublesome bulbs. Alternatively, buy your lights from a reputable dealer, and remember, you get what you pay for. Cheap lights are probably not going to be reliable. Be sure to buy a spare set too, so if all fails the first time around, you have something to fall back on.

You don’t know what gifts to buy

Whether it’s the difficult to buy for man in your life or a friend or relative who seems to have everything they could possibly want, there will be times when you are stuck for present ideas. You want to avoid a disappointed face on Christmas day, so what should you do?

Tip: Forego the idea of a physical present, and think of something unique. It may be a season pass to the cinema or a booking at a nearby spa. Provided you know a little bit about the person’s tastes, you should be able to find something to their liking, even if it isn’t wrapped up in fancy paper and a sparkling bow.

You have one dinner guest too many

You are looking forward to spending Christmas with your nearest and dearest, but days before the big day, you discover that your partner’s long-lost cousin is coming for lunch with his bothersome brood, and you just don’t know how you are going to accommodate them.

Tip: You could turn all the lights off and leave a note on the door telling them you’re away skiing for the winter, so sorry for the inconvenience. Alternatively, you could prepare in advance for unexpected guests by buying extra dining chairs and dining products, and asking your extra guests to contribute to the Christmas meal. Another solution would be ditch dinner at home completely, and book a table at the nearest restaurant, and let the staff deal with your extended family’s demands.

You have forgotten to defrost the turkey

You have peeled the sprouts and prepared the pudding, but on Christmas Eve you realise you have forgotten to take the turkey out of the freezer. You don’t mind eating the meat cold, but not when it’s a block of ice. When it’s your head on the block and not the turkeys, what are you supposed to do?

Tip: A turkey normally requires two days to defrost thoroughly, but if you are in a hurry, submerge the turkey in a bowl of water. Your turkey will thaw at a rate of 30 minutes per pound, so we will let you do the math. Alternatively, save the turkey for Boxing Day, and serve one of these tasty alternatives on Christmas Day instead.

Finally

We have only covered a few of your Christmas problems, but they should go some way to ensuring the festive season isn’t a complete turkey this year. If you have further festive tips for our readers, be sure to let us know. Merry Christmas!

The top 10 foods that will improve your eyesight

By Guest Blogger, Bob O.

The top 10 foods that will improve your eyesight

Millions of people worldwide suffer from eyes infections such as cataracts and other age-related eye diseases. The diseases are mostly brought about due to eye inflammation as well as oxidation.

However, over the years, many studies on eye health show that chronic eye diseases can be reduced by foods rich in nutrients zeaxanthin and lutein – and these nutrients can similarly improve your current eye sight.

Other related research has shown that foods rich in Vitamins C, E and zinc are also good in preventing eye diseases caused by old age and can enhance your current eye health for better vision, not only throughout your life, but in the day to day!

We’ve collaborated with Simon Donne Opticians, eye care specialists in Bedford in the UK, to create a list of the top 10 foods that will improve your eyesight the most, so try and incorporate these into your diet for healthy eyes – now and always!

1. Spinach

Spinach contains zeaxanthin and lutein that reduces the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration development. Lutein offers protection to the eye by creating some pigments that prevent eye damages caused by harmful UV light from the sun. If the eye contains more pigments, they are less likely to get damaged and can therefore prolong good eyesight and, even reverse some prior pigment damage.

2. Carrots

Carrots contain Vitamin A, and this absorbs light energy from the eyes as well as giving light adjustment during the night (yes, the age-old idea of carrots helping you see in the dark does have some factual basis!). To break down the thick cell wall of the carrot, cook with or eat them with a little olive oil so as to ease the absorption of nutrients into the body.

3. Dark berries

These contain anthocyanins that prevent blindness caused by cataracts and macular degeneration. They offer good night vision. The dark berries also strengthen the blood capillaries to enable them to efficiently transport blood and nutrients to the eyes.

4. Oranges

Oranges are renowned for being rich in Vitamin C, a vitamin that prevents the risks of cataracts development to keep your eyes healthy and strong.

5. Fish

Fresh oily fish such as tuna, salmon, trout and mackerel contain docosahexaenoic acid that is present in the retina. If the level of the acid is low, it causes dryness in the eye. The Omega 3 found in the oily fish leads to the reduction of inflammation that causes eye dryness. Keeping your eyes moist will help improve your eyesight, keeping them fresh and healthy.

Two servings of oily fish a week are good enough for maintenance of good eyesight.

6. Almonds

Almonds contain Vitamin E that protects the eye from oxidation and radical damage. This prevents damage and development of cataracts caused by UV light from the sun.

7. Beef

Red beef contains zinc that helps in the releasing of Vitamin A from the liver. The vitamin is then used in tissues in the eyes to improve eyesight.

8. Corn

Corn is rich in lutein and zeaxanthin that protect the eye from cataracts. The lutein and zeaxanthin increases if the corn is cooked for a longer period.

9. Broccoli

This common vegetable contains a huge amount of Vitamin C as well as beta-carotene, both which boosts eyesight. It is also rich in lutein and zeaxanthin – certainly an eye health superfood!

10. Eggs

Apart from proteins which aid healthy eyesight, eggs are also rich in lutein, Omega 3 and Vitamin E alongside other nutrients and vitamins that boosts eyesight as well as preventing the risk of eye infections.

We hope you found this article useful, and do let us know your eye-healthy recipes so that we can share more exciting eyesight tips to you and other readers!

Makeup Tips for Acne Prone Skin

By Guest Blogger, Sophia A.

Makeup Tips for Acne Prone Skin

Makeup and acne often seem to be locked in a repetitive cycle. You use makeup to cover the acne, but then the makeup causes more breakouts, so you use more makeup, and so on.

How can you effectively cover acne and create the appearance of flawless skin without using the heavy, oily products that might provoke more breakouts?

Fortunately, there are a variety of makeup solutions that provide great coverage without exacerbating acne-prone skin, and not all of them cost a fortune.

But first, a word about makeup labels and their ingredients.

Starting with “Non-comedogenic” makeup which is also sometimes called “non-acnegenic.” While this means that the makeup won’t clog pores, and therefore won’t cause breakouts the truth is that there is no set standard for what that term means or which ingredients are formulas are non-comedogenic. While it’s nice to see that on the label, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the product won’t cause breakouts.

People with acne-prone skin should avoid heavy, thick, or solid makeup products. It can be tempting to try these when looking for great coverage, but the ingredients that make these products thick often promote breakouts.

Avoid makeup with a lot of added ingredients, particularly unnecessary ones like fragrances. And always avoid makeup with any alcohol in it to avoid an acne-causing reaction.

Keep in mind that a lot of makeup labels and terminology are simply marketing language designed to sell the product. Unless the brand has invested in independent, scientific, clinical trials to back up their claims, treat everything with a healthy dose of skepticism.

When shopping for makeup for acne-prone skin, there are a few helpful things to look out for such as:

A BB or CC Cream with Salicylic Acid and Sun Protection

By combining light coverage, salicylic acid, and sun cream, a BB or CC cream unites the functions of several products into one. Salicylic acid helps clear pores and prevent acne, and the combination means that you’re not layering multiple products onto your face.

Try the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Skin Perfector with salicylic acid and SPF 30

A Spot Treatment and Concealer in One

While everyone with acne seems to be accustomed to following a spot treatment with a separate concealer, some products combine both, so you’re covering acne while treating it at the same time.

Try the Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment with light pigment and salicylic acid

A Color Correcting Primer

Most people with acne have a lot of redness and irritation that they need to cover. A color correcting primer with shades of green will neutralize excess redness and even out skin tone, texture, and color. Many also come with beneficial, skin-soothing ingredients.

Try the Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer.

A Lightweight Foundation That Covers and Fights Acne at The Same Time

Many foundations come with skin nourishing and acne-fighting ingredients while still offering the coverage that you need to cover up breakouts. It’s worth trying a few different ones to find the one that works best for your skin needs and tone.

Try the e.l.f. Acne Fighting Foundation, which includes salicylic acid, witch-hazel, tea tree, and aloe

An Acne-Fighting Mattifying Powder

Many powders are thick and clog pores. Look for a powder that is loose and lightweight, and it may help to find one that contains salicylic acid to prevent breakouts.

Try the Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Powder with salicylic acid and vitamins A and C.

Whatever your makeup regimen, it is especially important for people with acne-prone skin to thoroughly cleanse and condition every night. Even the best makeup will clog pores and cause breakouts if it isn’t completely removed at the end of the day.

If you are using an acne-fighting skin care regimen, follow the system as instructed. If you aren’t using a skin-care system, here are some tips to follow nightly:

  • Start with a good makeup remover to get all the makeup off your face. It’s only after the makeup is removed that a cleanser can target oily skin and clogged pores,
  • Follow with a gentle exfoliating cleanser. Avoid the temptation to use harsh cleansers that further irritate and inflame the skin. Acne-prone skin does not require more aggressive cleaning.
  • If needed, follow cleansing with a topical acne treatment or spot treatment
  • If not using an acne treatment, calm oily skin with a toner. A toner isn’t necessary for dry skin.

Remember that severe, ongoing acne is best treated by a professional dermatologist, who can prescribe the right medication for your needs.

The Modern Alternatives To DIY

The Modern Alternatives To DIY

In the modern world, there are more and more products coming out which enable you to handle aspects of your own life. From easy-to-use painting tools to furniture which comes in a flat box, there’s never been a better time for those that love to get their hands dirty. For everyone else, though, the idea of DIY can become on you dread. It doesn’t have to be this way, though. Along with DIY, modern technology also makes it a lot easier to skip DIY altogether, and this post is going to be showing you how.

  • Painting & Decorating

If you’ve ever painted a room, you probably have some idea of the difficulty you can have while you’re doing it. It takes years to develop the skills to paint a room professionally. Of course, though, you don’t have to spend your time doing this; someone else already has. Websites like Fiverr make it nice and easy to find professionals to help you with this sort of work. It’s worth making sure that you read plenty of reviews while doing this if you want the best service.

  • Decor & Design

Once you have a room painted, carpets installed, and all of the other little bits done, it’ll be time to start filling it with some furniture. Choosing the items for a room like this can be very hard. You have loads of choices out there, and even a simple, light and relaxing bedroom can be hard to achieve. Thankfully, loads of companies offer sets of pieces, giving you the chance to match all of your items with one purchase. Along with this, with the building services they sell, you should have everything to make your rooms nice and easy.

  • Cleaning Up

Of course, a large part of the work you do to your home isn’t in the form of big efforts, making loads of change at once. Instead, cleaning is what you’ll be doing the most. This part of life can be very challenging to deal with, but it doesn’t have to be this way. A professional cleaning company can provide you with weekly services which cut down your time doing this job by a huge amount. Along with this, choosing the right materials will also help in your cleanly efforts.

  • The Garden

Finally, as the last part of your home you’ll be working on, it’s time to think about the garden. Most people rarely consider this area, and it can show after just a matter of months. To avoid an overgrown mess, like your cleaning, you can have your green areas handled by someone else. Professional gardening is a very common business, so it should be nice and easy to find someone nearby who can help. Along with this, though, you could also look into some landscaping options which will make the garden much easier to manage.

Hopefully, this post will enable you to start putting some extra ease into your daily life. A lot of people neglect this sort of work, worrying that they don’t have the time or skills to handle it. Of course, though, this isn’t a problem if you let someone else do the hard stuff.

What is the benefits of owning an Air Purifier in your child’s room?

By Guest Blogger Denis L.

What is the benefits of owning an Air Purifier in your child’s room?

Whether you’re a new parent or an existing one, the protection of your child is extremely important.  Every parent wants their child to have the best health and live a happy life.  If you aren’t familiar with the benefits of an Air Purifier, now is the time to learn.  An air purifier will not just be beneficial for your child, but the entire family too.

So what exactly is an air purifier?  These electric machines ensure the air in your house is clean and free from bacteria.  You may not know this, but the air naturally has borne pollutants.  The air purifier will help eliminate or decrease the pollutants by preventing their circulation.  You and your family view the home as a safe and loving place.  The purifier will ensure this by keeping the air clean.

Polluted air and people do not go together, especially newborns.  A lack of fresh air, pet dander, and smoking can harm the development of your child.  Even if no one smokes in your home, you must beware the dangers of second hand smoking.  This is why it is so important that the air in your house and child’s room are extremely clean.  We recommend that everyone with a pet or smoking habit purchase an air purifier immediately.  Correlations between unhealthy air and asthma have been linked.  This frightening fact additionally increases the need for clean air.

There are many options for potential air purifier owners.  Choosing the right purifier for you and your family depend on a few factors.  Purifiers are built in relation to the space they can cover.  For example, some are built for entire homes while others are meant for individual rooms.  The individual rooms can range from 200 to 500 square feet.  The price will obviously increase depending on purifiers range it can cover.  It is recommended you purchase a purifier that can circulate throughout the entire house.  Your child will probably not stay in his room, so it is important the entire house is clean.  Air purifiers that circulate the entire house are usually connected to the main heating or cooling system of the house.

After you decide the type of air purifier, you need to choose a specific brand.  There are many factors that go into purchasing an air purifier.  The price is probably the number one concern when buying this product.  Most purifiers require a filter that needs to be replaced every so often.  The replacement filter can be expensive, meaning you must consider this before purchase.  There are also purifiers on the market that do not require filters.  Regardless of the type, take future investments into account.  You always want the maximum benefits out of the purifier you purchase.  An entire room purifier is the best humidifier for your babies rooms.

When purchasing a purifier, you need to make sure its benefits line up with your goals.  If you simply want clean air in the house, most purifiers will get the job done.  However, some purifiers target pet dander and smoke as well.  Ensure that your purifier is accomplishing you and your family’s goals.

Air purifiers have recently gained popularity because of the new focus on air quality.  People care about the air they breathe in, and they should.  Purifiers give people a range of benefits they may be unaware of.  The obvious benefit is removing pollution from the air.  There’s a range of people who desire clean air.  People who want to diminish their asthma symptoms, parents with newborns, and the everyday person.

A useful component about these purifiers is their ability to be transported.  Most are small and can be moved from room to room.  Additionally, you can bring your purifier with you to work.  Their small size and light weight make the transportation a breeze. Depending on the purifier type, they can easily cover an entire house or room.

Each purifier usually comes with a HEPA Air Purifier filter.  This stands for high-efficiency particular air.  These filters can remove up to ninety-nine percent of dust particles from the air.  This huge number ensure you are breathing fresh and clean air.  A HEPA Air purifier is especially important for reducing the effects of asthma and preventing children from developing it.  Dust in a home usually causes Asthmatics to experience their symptoms.  Thankfully, purifiers can collect most of the dust in a room.  This is great especially because most people find it difficult to completely collect dust.

Every child’s dream is to have a pet.  Whether you already have one or plan on getting one, there are some factors to consider.  Firstly, a pet carries certain odors with it that may be annoying for a family.  A purifier can rid the house of these smells, especially if you don’t bathe the pet on a regular basis.  You will continue to have a fresh smelling house despite owning a pet.

Purchasing a purifier isn’t a huge blow to your wallet as well.  Many are cheap and can be purchased on a budget.  The only issue with money is when you look for entire home purifiers.  Simply look online for reputable companies that sell purifiers with good reviews.  Some of you may be concerned with the aesthetic of keeping one in the house.  The good news is, they are small and size.  Additionally, companies make them to look stylish as well.  You can even buy some with LED lights that contain color.  This gives your home or office a relaxing look that others will appreciate as well.

Again, we advise you to purchase an entire home purifier.  This is the best humidifier for babies rooms.  This is beneficial if you have a child, who probably will spend a large amount of time in other rooms in the house.  Take control of you and your family’s health today.  There is no reason you have to deal with dirty air when you can purchase an air purifier.  Do not let pollutants impact the lives of you and your child. We hope you feel prepared and are convinced to make your purchase today!

All You Need To Know About How To Fix Dry Scalp

By Guest Blogger Paula R.

All You Need To Know About How To Fix Dry Scalp

https://pixabay.com/en/metaphor-falling-down-failure-dry-1209691/

What should we do when a sudden outbreak of white flake and intolerable itchiness happen to your scalp? Most people give no second thoughts that it must be dandruff, and go straight online for the best anti-dandruff shampoo. However, there is another quite similar condition that people are often confused with dandruff, which is the dry scalp.

In this article, I want to share with you the difference between these two conditions and how to fix dry scalp for good.

How can you tell what the problem with your hair is?

Dandruff is usually present throughout the year. Meanwhile, dry scalp appears when the weather is dry and cold. The difference in temperature will make the scalp difficult to regulate and maintain moisture.

Dry scabs are usually smaller than dandruff scabs, but its irritability is no less than that of dandruff. Sufferers might also feel that their scalp is severely stretched if they could not fix dry scalp conditions sooner.

What are the causes of the dry scalp?

In ordinary people, the scalp will remove 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells a day. The sebaceous glands cannot produce enough sebum to supply the skin and hair is the direct cause of dry scalp.  These factors might result in the inhibition of oil production for the hair:

  • Exposure to dirty water
  • Poor diet
  • Hair damage by the weather, especially in the winter
  • Misuse of cosmetics and gels for styling
  • Inappropriate hair care and treatment
How to fix dry scalp completely

The first step to taking care of dry scalp is to avoid the above and change some of your hair care habits.

1. Use moisturizing oil with natural ingredients

You need to find out the oil and choose the right shampoo. It is best to choose products with natural ingredients and moisturizing effect, which will prevent your hair from drying longer. You can also use a moisturizing cream for your hair. You should use cold water to wash your hair because hot water will make your hair even drier.

2. Avoid hair styling products

Products containing perfume or alcohol can lead to dry scalp. But the most important thing is that you do not give up the habit of using gels, hair sprays or styling creams as they can dry your hair.

3. Use pure essential oils (2-3 times a week)

Coconut oil is always a good candidate for dry hair care, as well as a comprehensive moisturizer for both skin and hair. You can apply coconut oil directly to your hair and scalp, massaging it gently so that the oil is completely absorbed.

Use a soft towel soaked in coconut oil for the hair in an hour. This way also stimulates hair growth. Also, you can combine olive oil with coconut oil to achieve better results.

Moreover, lavender essential oil can moisturize the scalp and hair, helping to increase the elasticity and health of the hair.

4. How to fix dry scalp with natural hair mask
Lemon juice and olive oil

Ingredients:

  • A teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Half a cup of small olive oil

Procedure:

  • Wash your hair thoroughly then pat dry it
  • Apply this mixture to your hair, massaging it gently. After that, wrap the hair with a large towel or a hood for about 30 minutes and then wash with warm water.
  • For this method, lemon juice works to remove dandruff. Olive oil nourishes the hair from the inside. Use olive oil with lemon hair should only apply every two weeks, should not be too much abuse. Using the hair styling with olive oil, we can also cycle with a hair treatment method with the following olive oil.

When using olive oil, the natural ingredients available in olive oil such as vitamins A, D, E and especially the antioxidants will cleanse dandruff, itching, moisturizing the hair, helping the hair nourishes the scalp deeply from within, smoothing shimmy hair very quickly.

Honey and Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • Half a cup of olive oil
  • Two teaspoons of honey

Procedure:

  • Pour this mixture and beat them up.
  • Firstly, apply this mixture to the hair right after washing then gently massage the scalp for 3 to 5 minutes. After that make an incubation of hair with a towel to create heat, moisten the deeper, you can also use the hair dryer to create heat outside the towel offline. After 15 – 20 minutes, wash your hair with lukewarm water.

Use this method every two weeks to fix dry scalp and alleviate the itchiness.

Eggs and yogurt

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • Two tablespoons of honey
  • Four tablespoons of yogurt
  • A tablespoon of almond oil

Procedure

Mix this mixture and apply it to your hair and scalp. Eggs are rich in protein and yogurt is a natural moisturizer.  Apply this hair mask once a week for the best results.

The best way to fix dry scalp

Finally, it is always better to keep your scalp stay hydrated rather than struggling with how to fix dry scalp when it happens. These are useful pieces of advice for healthy scalp and hair.

  • Protect your hair from the sun: Contamination with ultraviolet radiation is one of the causes of dry hair, so you should carefully cover your hair when out.
  • Drink plenty of water: You need to consume 2 to 3 liters of water a day, drink plenty early in the morning and less in the evening. Also, remember to avoid alcohol and coffee.
  • Prepare a nutritious diet: Your diet should be diverse with foods such as nuts, eggs, dairy products, and soya, etc. These foods provide iron, zinc, vitamin, omega-3 for a healthy scalp.

Natural Ways to Enhance Your Beauty

By, Tia Cristy

Natural Ways to Enhance Your Beauty

Beauty starts internally, there’s no doubt. However, we live in a time with resources, knowledge and technology where if you are unhappy with your physical appearance, you can change it.

If you have the financial means and a sound drive, finding a good doctor to perform surgeries like breast enhancement or procedures like laser therapy to enhance your outer appearance is a good option. Just remember to do your research on the procedure as well as the practice. It might be a quicker result than trying natural remedies, but with the pros there are cons to think of like cost, pain and recovery.

Trying to make yourself look better naturally comes at a cost too. In most cases, the results take time and patience, along with the most important factor… consistency.

And just like the saying goes, beauty is from the inside out, there’s absolute truth in that. Being internally healthy gives a healthier outward appearance.

Be sure to drink a lot of water and eat your vitamins

Drinking eight 8oz. of water on a daily basis is the minimum. Water is in everything we eat and drink. So even if you aren’t hitting the tap or bottle, you are getting some water, but the clear liquid is the best option to make sure you’re getting your daily dose. Water flushes the system. That includes the blood and organs, which when those things are in good shape so is your largest organ… your skin. Once you flush the system, you must restore it with the good stuff… minerals, vitamins and amino acids. You’ll find the best sources for all of these things in veggies and proteins like meats and fish as well as seeds and beans.

Eating the right things won’t just help reshape your figure because you’ll be treating your metabolism well, it also helps the skin look better. Eating specific foods can have bonus benefits, for example eating Fenugreek seeds frequently can stimulate breast enlargement. If you’re trying to lose a few pounds, try foods higher in B-12 to wake up a sluggish system.

Put some light in your life

We all need Vitamin D.  We can get it in a pill or by drinking some milk, but don’t forget the sun gives it to us naturally. I’m all about sunscreen, but studies have shown that we can’t collect Vitamin D from the sun while wearing sunblock. Studies recommend only spending five to ten minutes in the sun without sunblock. Now if you’re planning on spending a lot of time in the sun, you should put sunblock on a half-hour before going outside so it can soak into the skin for the full effect. Your future skin will thank you for it.

Also, another light is repairing skin damage. Red lights are being used to repair damage and stimulate collagen. These red lights can reduce red spots, tighten skin and diminish wrinkles. Skin cells shed by the thousands, so repair is possible, however consistency is key with this as well. But this kind of therapy can help you shed years.

Be Radiant

With a little effort and maintenance, you can change your outward appearance. Remember, you are beautiful. But radiance certainly comes from inside of you and imitates by how you treat others. So be radiant! Treat others well and treat yourself well and you’ll become aware of your outer beauty as a result.

When your fruit bowl is in a clear spot, you will find yourself eating more fruit and there is no doubt that that will be beneficial for your health. Eyes

As they say, eyes are windows to the soul. However they’re also windows to our health, and having a checkup at the optician can do more than just make sure your vision is up to scratch. Various health conditions can cause changes in the eye long before you have any other symptoms meaning some illnesses can be picked up in the earlier stages. Opticians can spot everything from diabetes to HIV. On top of this, an optician will make sure your vision is up to scratch for things like driving. It’s normal for our sight to deteriorate slightly as we age, so it could be a case of needing glasses, contact lenses or laser eye surgery to put things right.

Ears

Our hearing is another very important sense, and something none of us would want to go wrong. Again, hearing can decline as we age but conditions like tinnitus can also cause issues. If you’re experiencing frequent ear infections, having a specialist treat this or go in for an ear cleaning could be a wise move. They will also be able to advise you on the source of the problem so you’re able to put it right.

Teeth

Nice teeth are something that make us look and feel good- a beautiful smile is always going to be an attractive asset. But of course, our teeth need to be healthy to be functional too. Weak, worn or loose teeth can break or come out entirely when you’re eating and can cause a significant amount of pain too. Visit a dentist to make sure everything is in order. They will be able to spot plaque, decay and other problems in the early stages when it’s easy to put right. Left further you could end up with abscesses, tooth loss and all kinds of problems so it pays to keep on top of it

Blood Pressure

High blood pressure can lead to all kinds of health problems, so it makes sense to keep an eye on this. If you’re generally in good health, just having it done once a year to make sure it’s in the normal range should be fine. High blood pressure can be a result of stress, high salt diet and excess body weight, so if yours is higher than it should be then it’s time to make some lifestyle changes. If it’s very high, it may have to be controlled with medication to prevent damage to your body.
