Apple cider vinegar

Many people around the world swear by apple cider vinegar as their go-to dandruff remedy. It is all thanks to the acidity of the vinegar, which changes the pH value of your scalp. That makes harder for yeast and fungus to grow.

For this remedy, you need to mix ¼ of a cup of apple cider vinegar, and ¼ cup of water. Mix them in a spray bottle, and spritz on your scalp. Wrap your head in a towel, and then allow the solution to work for 15 minutes. Wash and rinse your hair as usual after that. Repeat the treatment two times per week.

Baking soda

Baking soda and apple cider vinegar are widely known as the cheapest remedies in your household. And both help with dandruff. We explained how you can use apple cider vinegar.

For baking soda, you need to wet your hair and then rub a handful of the remedy vigorously into your scalp. Do not apply any shampoo. Just rinse your hair and baking soda will help eliminate all of the dandruff-causing fungi in your hair. Fair notice: in the beginning, you might notice your scalp and hair is a little dried out. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is one of the more tested and well-proven remedies for dandruff. Bonus points: it smells nice when you apply to your hair.

To use coconut oil, massage 3 tablespoons of the remedy into your scalp before showering. Let it sit for one hour, and then apply shampoo and wash your hair as you normally do. You can even wash your hair with a coconut oil based shampoo, which gives you more powerful results.

Olive oil

Another oil you can use for getting rid of dandruff is olive oil. It is a well-known folk remedy. How to use it? Just massage 10 drops of olive oil into your scalp, and then cover your head with a shower cap. Leave it to stay overnight. In the morning, wash your hair as you normally do with shampoo.

Of course, you can also buy a shampoo that contains olive oil for maximum results.

Lemons

If you have lemons on hand, you might have the best dandruff remedy in your kitchen. Squeeze some lemons, and then massage 2 tablespoons of the lemon juice into your scalp. Rinse with water. Follow with stirring 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into 1 cup of water, and rinse your hair with that as well. Repeat the treatment on a daily basis until you get rid of dandruff completely.

As you know with each season the texture and maybe even color of your hair changes. Protecting your hair in the summer slightly differs from winter protection in several ways.

 

Unlike the summer when you must protect your strands from pool water and sweat, in the winter you must remember to keep hair hydrated from the drying heat of any indoors. Using a hair mask or using argan oil once a week can help restore moisture into those locks. Using a shampoo and conditioner that protects from UV rays is also important in both winter as well as summer.

This season, I went from a summer blonde to an icy blonde with a touch of low lights thanks to previous Hollywood hair stylist, CJ Deaver Designs. Reds are a desired color for fall, but remember, reds are hard to get rid of and even harder to keep. But the most important thing to remember when coloring your hair is to not color on top of clean hair. The cold strips the moisture out of your hair. Washing your hair strips it of natural oils. And we all know, bleaching and coloring dries hair. So, it’s best to plan accordingly when you’re about to get colored. Dirty hair will give you the best color results.

 

CJ had no worries about lifting my blonde to its icy tone when I walked in with oily hair. When the lift was completed, she used a purple shampoo to bring out the rest. *Using a color safe shampoo is key for maintaining the salon results. CJ finished with a blowout and razor cut to get me moving into my winter season.

 

Even days after the fact, my hair has remained in great health. It’s important to remember great hair starts on what you put in the inside. So, maintain a healthy diet along with adding plenty of nuts and oils. B vitamins are also a major importance when it comes to fabulous hair, no matter what season it is. And just like your skin needs it, your hair needs water too. So, drink plenty of water and your hair (and body) will thank you for it!

Staying hydrated during winter months is a necessity. Seriously, doing these simple things will help improve your skin drastically.

You aren’t the only thing losing moisture. With the heater running during a lot during the winter nights, it’s sucking the water out of the air. 4. Draw a vertical line using a concealer from the forehead down to the outer edges of your eyebrows, eyes and jaw

Another option is to use a complementing yet lighter eyeshadow hue to the contour colour and create a gradient effect that makes the eyes look more open.

 

Don’t forget to highlight underneath the eyebrow to clean up the eye makeup and accentuate the arch and height of the brows.
