Common Beauty Insecurities And How To Get Over Them For Good!

There’s no shame in being insecure about something. In many ways, if you’re not insecure about anything, then you’re probably not human! It’s a natural way of life, we all have elements of ourselves that we don’t like. What’s more, it can take a lot to put these negative thoughts out of our mind and get over our insecurities for good. As such, every day is spent looking in the mirror and focusing on the little things that we don’t like, rather than the things we do like.

We all have different insecurities, but some are more common than others. Today, I’m going to look at the most prevalent beauty insecurities in modern women, and provide a bit of advice to help you get over them for good. My main hope is that this little guide can help all of you to start loving yourselves more!

My Face Is Full Of Spots

So many women are insecure about their appearance because they have breakouts on their face. They think this makes them look super ugly, and they’ll try and cover the spots up as well as possible. Often, this means going overboard with foundation, which just fuels the spots and makes the breakout even worse.

When you have constant issues with spots, it makes you so insecure that you’ll avoid leaving the house unless it’s essential. The thing is, there are so many solutions to this problem, and you’re probably going about it the wrong way. Instead of trying to cover your spots up with loads of makeup, work on addressing the cause of them. Is it because your skin is too greasy or oily? If so, work on cleansing your pores and taking better care of your face. Also, never sleep with makeup on and always wash your face before bed! Then, apply a thin layer of makeup, and only when necessary. If you’re not going anywhere, don’t bother with makeup around the house! If all else fails, see a doctor and they can prescribe acne medication to help you out.

My Boobs Are Too Small

When it comes to insecurities on the body, your breasts are usually at the top of the list. So many girls fear that they’re unattractive because they don’t have big boobs. Once more, the media has a lot to answer for this, as we’ve constantly seen attractive women with big breasts as leading roles in films, on magazine covers, and getting most of the limelight. Needless to say, you can feel very insecure when you don’t have big breasts, and this stops you from wearing things you might like the look of – such as crop tops, bikinis, low-cut dresses, and so on.

The good news is there are both temporary and permanent solutions to this insecurity. If you’re super self-conscious about your breast size and would kill to make them bigger, then why don’t you? Breast augmentation is common, and you can subtly enhance the look of your breasts if you want. It’s not for everyone, and I strongly suggest you see surgery details before you go through with this. This is the permanent solution, and the temporary ones can help give your boobs the appearance of being bigger, without actually changing their size. Things like push-up bras or padding can help make your boobs look bigger and fuller. You’ll be very surprised at how much of a difference a good push up bra makes to your breasts, and this can be all you need for a little confidence boost.

My Legs Are Too Chunky

Another body insecurity most women have is with their legs. A lot of girls see their thighs as being too chunky and wobbly. They feel like they jiggle when you walk, and it can make you so insecure. Especially around the spring/summer seasons where it gets hot, and loads of people wear shorts and skirts. You feel very insecure because you see everyone’s nice legs, and you think you’re being judged for being the only person still wearing jeans.

The reality is, you can easily take care of this insecurity if you’re willing to put in the hard work. All you have to do is start exercising and eating right. This will help you lose body fat, which slims down your thighs. They’ll lose that ‘chunkiness’ you don’t like, and you can also tone them up by doing squats and leg workouts. In fact, I’ll leave a video down below this paragraph of a sample leg workout to help you add muscle tone and firmness. In a matter of weeks, you can transform the way your legs look and feel a lot more secure about them.

My Eyebrows Are Too Light

Finally, we end things off with another insecurity that’s found on your face. Having light eyebrows has become a really big issue in modern times. There seems to be a big beauty trend at the moment where good eyebrows are a must. Everyone wants nice dark brows that are shaped well and finely trimmed. If yours are too light, then it looks like you have none at all, which causes major insecurities.

Again, there are both permanent and temporary solutions here. The temporary one is simply drawing on your eyebrows whenever you want to go out. Once more, I’ll link a video below this paragraph that gives a few tips on how to do this and make your brows look natural. When done correctly, you’ll see the effect looks so real, and no one will guess your eyebrows are really very light. The permanent solution is to get something known as an eyebrow tattoo. Essentially, you get eyebrows tattooed on you, so they always look a lot darker. It’s not for everyone and can be quite expensive. But, if you’re really insecure and can’t bear to even walk around the house with your natural brows, then this may be your best option.

As I said earlier, I really want this guide to help everyone with these insecurities. First and foremost; don’t be ashamed if you’re insecure. Secondly; don’t be ashamed about wanting to change things about yourself. A lot of people say you should just grow to love your insecurities, but it’s not as easy as that. Some people get really badly affected by the things mentioned on this list, so doing things to change the way you look can help you love yourself for once!
