When you were 17, one of your main priorities was probably acting like you were ten years older. When you’re young and desperate to feel like a grown-up, adulthood can feel like just a distant dream. In reality, adulthood actually whips around rather quickly! It can actually be quite shocking when you realize you aren’t actually 21 anymore and you have to deal with responsibilities. But when you look back, being young wasn’t such a breeze either! It’s important that you love that fact that you’re getting older and wiser. Your knowledge bank is getting deeper, and your experiences are making you richer. This is happening almost daily! Sometimes though you want to look in the mirror and still feel vital. You still want to feel young! There are many easy ways for you to inject a youthful vibe into your image – you just need to know how!

  1. Watch your health

Did you know, drink 3-4 cups of good coffee a day can actually ward off dementia! Of course, there are reports that too much coffee is terrible for your health. Everything in moderation is the way to go. Make sensible choices and try not to have too much of any one thing. Once you’re in your 40s, it’s a good idea to get your cholesterol checks every once in awhile. This tends to rise as you get older and can be a trigger for heart disease and Alzheimer’s. It goes without saying that it’s a good idea to watch your weight and not overeat. If you can’t fit a hardcore fitness routine into your every day, at least make sure you’re doing a lot of walking. Get the blood pumping as often as you can!

  1. Play with your appearance

You have the freedom to do whatever you want to do, and that’s an amazing thing! One of the most exciting things about getting older is being able to change up your look without fear of judgment. If you’re not keen on your current hairstyle, it’s a good idea to go and talk to a trusted hairdresser. They’ll be able to advise on a cut that will frame your face better. A good haircut can take years off of your age! It’s also a good idea to not discount exploring various anti wrinkle treatments too. There is so much on the market for you to try! Just remember to be confident in your decisions and not worry about what other people think – you’re doing this for you.

  1. Be kind to your skin

It’s a good idea at any age to prevent your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Even if you live in cooler climates, it’s a good idea to wear sunscreen every single day. Just make it a part of your skincare routine! Another great thing to do is to wear a hat. This will protect your face and shield your eyes too.
