Ridding Evil with Sage; Evil Bacteria.

Ridding Evil with Sage; Evil Bacteria.

The ritual of smudging (burning) sage has been around for centuries. Some use it to ward off evil spirits from the home. I found it rids of more than that. It kills evil bacteria!

I had a re-occurrence of Strep Throat three times in the last six months. How is this possible? Well, it means something still had the bacteria living on it. I did all the proper things after the first spell. I threw out all things that got close to my mouth. Lipstick, lip liner, dental care, including the full tube of tooth paste. After buying all new makeup and dental needs, about five weeks later, the strep was back. I repeated the process. This time I was even more tenacious to throw out more things.

About another two months passed by, and I got the crazy Strep once again. tipsfromtia.com pillsWith another round of antibiotics in my system, I felt defeated, broke from purchasing all new products, and tired of scrubbing the house down with all different cleansers and natural products. It was time to think outside the box. I heard that sage can kill bacteria and any of it’s friends that try to land on a surface for up to 30 days after burning sage in each room. I figured for the price, it was worth a try.

The dried sage is a little difficult to keep lit, but applying air as I walked from room to room the smoke dispersed from the bushel and filled the room with a pleasant enough scent. (I actually like it.)

The smell dissipated quickly, and left the room smelling fresh and clean. I have smudged twice now, and glad to say I feel healthy and haven’t had to purchase any new makeup, well, at least because the other was tossed.

I’m going to keep up this ritual every 30 days in hope to maintain a healthy home. You can find smudge sticks in health food stores.
