You don’t have to be an onion eater for this tip, you just need to deal with the smell. The picture above is an onion that was cut in half an left in a bowl over night to absorb the germs in the room. This change in onion happened in 1 night only. Amazing.

Be sure to leave the peel on the onion but cut it in half or in quarters. Put into a bowl and leave it in the room or rooms to collect the germs. You can leave the onion out for several days even. The onion will wilt and you may even see it change colors slightly to drastically. The onion will collect germs, viruses and bacterias in the area it is placed.

DO NOT eat the onion after sitting out for even a couple hours. It will have enough germs on it that may cause sickness.

The potent smell is easy to remove once you are done, because the onion has not been cooked or ingested. Throw away the onion and clean the bowl. The air odor can be removed by lighting a candle or using an air freshener.
