Wedding planning can seem extremely daunting. From invitations and photo shoots to catering plans and wedding dress selection, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. While there is a ton of planning to be done prior to the wedding, there are a few tips that can help you get through the day without a hitch. Below are five tips to ensure your wedding day is as perfect as you deserve!
Be Organized

OK, this tip might seem obvious, but it is true. The more organized you are before the wedding, the better the actual day will go. Do not feel bad about being organized. Your wedding party, family, and extra helpers will really appreciate it. Assign duties to anyone that you can. The less you have to do, the better.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

On your wedding day things will not go perfect. It is a fact of life. Pictures might run late or a bouquet for the altar might not arrive. If these (or any other mishap) should happen, do not fret! Just stay calm and relax. Usually the things that happen are little, and most guests will not even notice if something is missing. The most important thing that is happening is marrying the love of your life.

Have Someone Take Snapshots

You will have hired a photographer, but they will be taking all the professional photos. Ask a friend or family member to be taking photos of events going on throughout the day – getting ready, right after the ceremony, during the reception and dance, etc. Those are moments that you want captured on photo too!

Have Safety Pins on Hand

While this may seem simple enough, it’s something that many people overlook. The bustle on dresses often times break. A safety pin can help keep the dress up.

Get Food to Go

The day of your wedding is a complete whirlwind. It goes by so fast that you probably won’t remember much of it years later. Some bride’s and groom’s hardly remember to eat. Ask your caterer to pack up some food for you in a tray. You might eat some at the reception, but most couples get so busy visiting with guests that they rarely have time to eat. Caterers like McHale’s Events and Catering are really great at working with the bride and groom. Ask them to set aside some food for you to take back to the hotel later. There is a good chance you will be pretty hungry when the night is over!

Sure, many of the tips included above may seem obvious at first glance, but following them will help you avoid a wedding day diasaster!
